I looked up at the tall sixteen-foot doorway, intimidated by its height. Then, my eyes caught something interesting. There was a picture of a black wolf, a marking. Where had I seen it before? I gasped, "Dion, this is the symbol of the Darkmoon Pack. Why the heck is it here?"

Shrugging it off, my hand went to the swirly knob and wrapped my fingers around it. It squeaked with my pull, making me flinch. This was always the part where the door would just reveal a dark hallway. I still don't understand why I was comparing my journey to a movie.

It was indeed dark. I bit my lip, wondering if we should enter. "Scared?" Dion teased. I didn't look at him because he was right. I was. The flame appeared and giggled, swooping in past me and hummed, urging me to come before it disappeared into the abyss.

"Come on, Little Goddess. If Hades's soul can go in, then you can too." He gently pushed me forward and my body entered into the vast dark. I took a breath and took a step, walking down the hall of the castle.

Inside, there were scattered tables with small strips of cloth on them and a few unlit candle stands. Dion walked over to the tables and pointed at one of the cloths. "This is the symbol of that pack you spoke about, right?"

I walked up to him and inspected it closely. Like I saw outside, it was the familiar mark: the outline of a wolf's head that gave off intimidation and royalty, everything that the Darkmoon consisted of. Yes, West was part of royalty, but it didn't affect him that much.

With that symbol, now that our packs were combined, that wolf was set inside a beautiful mark of a sun, the symbol of the Sunshine pack. It felt right, instead of just the solo sun. They both fit perfectly together.

"Is this just a ruin of one of the old castles of the Darkmoon?" I asked, fingering the delicate cloth in my hands.

He shook his head, squinting his eyes. "I would say that, but look. There's no dust."

A sudden bang was heard further away making me almost scream but Dion quickly covered my mouth and backed us away to a dark corner of the wall and kneeled down. An ascending staircase was shown in the flickering light of a candle. Two people's shadows were muttering distinctly and disappeared; men by the looks of it with their body stature and voices.

"Thank Goddess we didn't get caught..." I breathed.

"We need to follow them," Dion said, standing up and walking towards the stairs.

I ran, following him. "Yes...but, but, what if there's something more? I'm--"

"Scared?" Dion finished, turning to look at me. His blue eyes glowed in the dark and I could feel his palm on my cheek. "Whatever happens, you won't get hurt. I swear on the Moon Goddess."

My face heated up and I looked down towards my sneakers that were completely dirty and torn. "My mother? Why would you swear on her?"

He smiled. "Because she's important to you and I want you to know that I mean it." With that, he started to quietly go up the stairs, making sure that at every rounded corner, he would look ahead before taking another step to see if there was any danger.

The voices could be heard clearly now that we were almost at the top. My ears perked up to hear any information that I could catch before we would be on level with them.

"Combining the packs was the perfect way to get close to them. There was no other way to get close to them than to do this. Heck, not even the Goddess or her own daughter doesn't know."

"Well, you know I did it for the sake of my mate too. I want to keep it this way. The only reason I met up with you was to destroy the other thing and become higher."

A sigh could be heard. "Alpha, your own mate doesn't want to use dark magic. But it's in you...literally. You're bound to use it yourself. You're not doing anything wrong. I'll take the blame. If she doesn't want to use it then screw her." I could hear a table fall down, glass crashing everywhere.

My eyebrows drew together, hoping that I wasn't hearing exactly what I thought that I heard.

Dion whispered quietly, "Um, isn't that the voice of the Delta of the Darkmoon pack...?"

I listened in again and my heart started to beat rapidly, knowing that I knew what I was hearing. I started to back down the stairs out of werewolf range which was basically back down to the ground floor.

Dion went after me, grabbing both of my shoulders to steady myself. I started to hyperventilate. "Woah, woah, Little Goddess. Breath in and out, steadily. One..." He started to show me and I followed him until I calmed down. The tears started to flow and I hugged him tightly. I would take any source of comfort at this point. My own mate. Doing dark magic that was illegal in this world and through the race of werewolves. How would I be able to live with this?

After a couple of minutes, I pulled away, angry. How could he do this? "We're breaking up this place. Any source of magic here will vanish without a trace. Okay? Please help me." I looked into Dion's eyes, pleading with him. "I don't know who you are, but I know you are capable of it...you're not human. I'll take Ryan and West home and talk some sense into them. Will you help me?"

He closed his eyes tightly and then opened them, his irises now an even lighter blue than before. "What am I gonna do with you Little Goddess? I'll always help you. Let's freaking tear this place apart."

I smirked and put my backpack down, tying up my hair. "Hold on. I only have a few magical talents as a goddess but here's one my mother taught me." Though I didn't know if it would work with transporting two people, I would have to take a long-shot. I grabbed his hand and thought of the place where Ryan and West were at. Though I only caught a glimpse of it, it was enough. I would be able to appear behind them. Snapping my fingers, I opened my eyes again and we were right where we needed to be.
