"Sooo..."

"So...."

Clove and I didn't know where to start. Once the mating process was done I would be a full-blown goddess, crown, and everything. I wouldn't be part werewolf. This was a hard pill to swallow, considering she had been with me when I first shifted when I was thirteen. Yeah, I was an early bloomer. Most shifted at fourteen or fifteen.

"Want to go for a run?" I asked, trying to stop the sadness from overflowing. It was inevitable anyway.

"You know it, girl." I could hear the sadness also laced in her voice. Walking out into the forest, I shifted. Now I was in my normal wolf, silver in our fur and the black staying on my paws. She started to run. It was as if we were trying to run away from our lives, just to stay where we were, as one. "This might be the last time I'll be in my form." She whispered.

I shook my head inside her mind. "Don't say that. Just leave the bad things away. Think about the good. Remember how you dared me to kiss Lance?"

She had a wolfy grin on, "Yes, he can't seem to let go of that. Desperate much?"

We laughed together and Clove suddenly stopped on a cliff that had the whole pack territory lying below us. It was in the morning and the cool breeze was blowing through our fur. The green in the trees surrounding the houses seemed to be vibrant. Several members were out and pups were playing in the clearing. We sat down, watching their moves, bathing in the sunlight.

"Well....one last howl?"

"We'll be howling at the sun." I pointed out.

"That's what our pack is about right?"

Clove had a point. Well, she always did. She was so bossy and sassy. I loved it though. It was fun. Our nose pointed up at the bright sun and we let out a howl, the loudest and clearest we ever howled before. A tune that the ble flóges taught us before.

We walked back into the pack together. I refused to shift back, trying to keep Clove in form for as long as possible. I knew I would have to talk to Mother though, to ask about the candles for the mating.

West suddenly ran out, almost tripping over us. "Oh, there you are! Exactly the person I wanted to see! Dion told me about your problem. He didn't want to see you heartbroken with the thought of having Clove sucked away and you might get mad, but Dark Magic is the key!" He rambled.

Cocking our head, we looked at him. Yep, out of his mind for sure. He rolled his eyes and waved his hand over to the cabin. "Come on. Isla allowed the basement to be a lab and I've figured out how you can still keep in touch with Clove. I'm still glad you're in your wolf form by the way."

The bubbling liquids were still in the glass bottles and I shivered. Post-traumatic trauma probably. I despised it. "I need your blood. If I put it in this potion and then you drink it, you will be able to still connect to her through your mind. The only setback is that you won't be able to shift."

Having Clove with me...okay, that was amazing. "Would you want it? Would you be able to live without not being in your wolf form? Ever?" I asked.

"I love you, Mallory. I still want to see you grow as a goddess along with a mate. It will hurt me, in the end, to not be able to shift. However...what's the point of dying if I still have a chance? Let's drink it."

She yipped and he took a syringe out, a slight poke to our skin. He poured it in a purple liquid, making it turn clear. West poured that into a bowl and Clove hesitated then lapped up the drink. Immediately, I shifted without my doing and lay on the cold basement floor. The Alpha quickly got a blanket and put it over me.

"Test it Mal. See if you can still talk to her."

I took a deep breath then asked, "Clove?"

A couple of seconds passed by making me gasp in alarm. Then a weak, "Yep, I'm here." entered my mind. I grinned and nodded. "Oh thank you West, thank you!"

"See, I told you you can use it for good too."

I smiled and nodded. Though it did come with difficulties it still did work. I wrapped the blanket around me and ran out through the pack towards the packhouse. Right before I entered the main door, a finger tapped my shoulder making me turn around to face the packhouse mother, Rainalda.

She was an extremely nice older lady who spent years as the mother, taking care of all the facilities at the house and making sure everything was perfect. Rainalda had smooth brown hair that was tied up in a bun but two strands fell down on either side of her face, framing her smiling gray eyes. A couple of wrinkles were here but she was a beautiful woman as ever. I loved her, considering she was the one who took care of me ever since I was a pup.

"Darling, I think you want to change. Here, I got some clothes from your room before you go in." Rain said, handing me some of my fancier than normal clothes.

I raised my eyebrow, taking them suspiciously. Olivia suddenly appeared at my side, making me yelp in surprise. Her eyes had mischief in them, but she led me away from the packhouse to a random spot in the birch forest. "Change here! Once you're done, look in branch number one." With that, she swooped away, making me utterly confused.

Changing into the short pretty red dress that accented my curves and throwing on a white sweater, I looked in the branches and found a little white note. 'I'll catch you later when you find out where you get all your might.' It read. It clicked. The clearing was where I trained, but it would take too long to find a note. Perhaps it was in the shed?

Running quickly, I reached my destination, opening the wooden door, and looking inside. I smiled. Yes, I knew this was Dion's doing. Maybe he wanted me to go to my part of the locker room. Going to my locker, I took off the note from the tape and read it. 'This may seem crazy, but you drew a picture of me here. Take off your sweater to reveal what you've wanted to know.'

Yup, the third place I saw him was my room. I clutched the notes in my hand and started to run, adrenaline pumping in my veins. I ran up the stairs and slowly stopped in the hallway, my eyes zeroing in on the pile of rose petals in front of my door.

Laughing slightly, I walked towards the door and read the final long paper. 'My past is not great. You barely flinched when you heard who I was from. There's so much baggage. I know you're reading this right now and probably crying, as you usually do. Mallory, Agapiménos, I love your everything. Those bouncy blonde curls, those intense emerald eyes, your beautiful smile. Even though we were already supposed to be together by a prophecy, never have I thanked it so much for having me to meet you and allowing me to have you. This was cheesy but of all people, Olivia told me to do it and I'm grateful. You're allowed to walk in and don't break up with me if you hate what you're about to see.'

What did he mean? Slowly taking my hand onto the metal handle, I pushed it open and gasped. It was completely dark, the curtains were closed. However, it was beautiful. Several candles were lit all around. What really made me cry though, was the different photos stuck onto fairy lights of me. My hands went to my mouth in shock and I walked into the doorway to my bed where Dion was sitting on the bed, not looking at me.

When he heard me, he jumped up, a look of nervousness on his face. The floor was covered in flower petals, as was the bed. Dion bit his lip and walked over to me, gripping my hands. "I-I didn't know if you would like it. It seemed stupid but...oh, I don't know." He ran a hand through his black and blue hair. "We can clean it all up. I know I got tired of the poem writing so I just scribbled where I actually wanted you to go.... Google helped me but--"

My lips met his and I wrapped my arms around his neck, tightly. When did I deserve such a thoughtful, sweet, loving man? He did the cheesiest things but I loved it so. Dion was amazing. Soon the door closed.
