March 2027

Mariana's POV:

Gabriel ended up staying in Barcelona longer than planned. He loved being with Mapi and getting to see his favorite person, Leila.

Leila was also really great with him.

"How does it feel?" I asked Mariona. She called me about wedding help. 

"How does what feel?"

"Seeing Leila with Gabriel."

"It makes me happy. We haven't talked about kids but I feel better now. Seeing how she is with him if we decide to start a family I know she'll be good with them."

I laughed. "You both will." I said. "This is your daily dose of Mariona you are incredible and everyone loves you."

She laughed. "Leila tells me that every day."

"Yeah I know but now I'll tell you too so you know that more people think that. People that you aren't marrying."

"Good point. Thanks, Mariana." She laughed.

We talked for a little while longer until she had to go. 

I looked at the picture I had. Me and my grandparents. I sighed and looked at my phone. 

Mapi's POV:

"Mariana said you can stay for ONE more week. Ok?" Gabriel nodded. "Then you go back to Portugal. But think of it like this. In a few months, you AND Mariana will be back here."

"And we can be together!" 

"Exactly." I smiled.

"When will I have a brother or sister?" He looked at me. "Vovo said that if you and Mari have kids, they'd be my cousins?" I nodded. "But can I be their big brother instead?" 

"You can be whatever you want." 

"Good." He went back to his toys. "I'm going to be a good brother." 

I looked at Leila. "Why are you crying?" I whispered.

"That was beautiful! I want to give that kid a sibling and that's not even possible!" 

"Stop." I pointed at her. "Get it together."

"I can't." She covered her face. "Now I want a kid." She walked away.

"Where are you going?"

"To find Mariona!"

I looked down at Gabriel. "She's weird." He said.

"I know, kid. I know." 

April 2027

Mariana's POV:

Mapi arrived and Gabriel ran out of the car. "Careful!" She yelled.

"Mari!" He ran to me and I picked him up. 

"Hey!" I hugged him. "How was Barcelona?"

"Fun! I hung out with Leila and Mariona!"

"Who else?"

"Jenni! Even Alexia played with me!"

"She did?"

"Yep!" 

"Alexia is a changed woman. Marriage really does that to a person." Mapi walked up to me. "Hello." She kissed me.

"Hi." I smiled. "Come on." We went inside. 

"Can I go play?" Gabriel asked.

"Sure." I said. He ran off to his room and I turned to Mapi. "Now we can talk."
