Mariana's POV:

"Look who it is. It's Lola."

"If you're here to try to change my mind, you can fuck off right now."

"Damn Mariana." She sat down. "Fuck, it's not all about you." She shook her head. "Unbelievable. Haven't seen you in how many days? This is how you treat me? Hey Lola! How are you? How are the kids! Have you been working out? No? None of that?"

I smirked. "I hate you."

"And I hate you." I laughed. "What do you want me to say, Mari?" She whispered.

"Say that you'll fight to save my baby girl."

She sighed. "I'll fight to save your baby girl." She nodded. "But can you promise me one thing?"

"What?"

"Fight to save yourself. This little girl, she's gonna need her mom. Mapi will fall apart, you know that. And we'll all rally around her, we always will. We do now. That's what we do. We all come together. But Mariana, you've always been the best of all of us. Felicia needs her mom. Luca needs his mom. Gabriel needs his mom. Xavier, Isabella, Maxi, Dario, Luna, Enzo? They need their aunt too. Virginia. Mariana she'll beat herself up for the rest of her life if anything happens to you. You never let any of us give up. Why did you think we'd let you?" She stood up. "I'll always be right here, by your side. And I'll do what I can to save this little girl. But I gotta save you too, Mariana. To save her, I need to save you." She walked out.

Mapi's POV:

"Well?"

"I just opened my mouth and let the bullshit flow." Lola sighed. "Hopefully it got to her."

"Thank you." I said. "I wish Ale and Vir were still here. Whatever happens, they need to be here."

"We'll get them." Carmen said. "Go see your wife."

I nodded. "I'll call you."

"You better." I went inside.

"Hi my beautiful wife." I kissed her forehead. "How are we going?"

"We're good." Mariana said. Her eyes remained closed. "We're both good." I sat with her and listened to the machines beep. "Babe," I looked at her. "You can't freeze again. The kids need you."

"They need both of us."

"Only one of us is in good enough shape to run around with them. You need to be there for them."

"Always. We'll get you back for play time." I said. "Felicia will be so excited to have a sister."

She looked at me. "Mapi. You save her ok? Save her first."

I shook my head. "Just have the surgery, Mariana please."

"Why can't you just do this for me."

"Because I can't lose you!" I got up. "Fuck, Mariana. You're the love of my life. The mother of my children. My partner in life I can't do THIS without you! You are my everything don't you get that? If I lose you, I lose part of me! I'll always be there for the kids, always. But they need us BOTH!"

The machine started to beep faster. "Mariana!"

The nurses and doctors ran in. "Please wait out." They pushed me out and I was grabbed by Virginia.

"What are you?"

"I couldn't leave. Not when she needs me."

We sat and waited. Then the doctor came out. I walked toward her. "She has made it clear that she doesn't want the surgery." I kneeled down. "We've done everything we could. There are no other options. I'm sorry."

"Mapi. You save her ok? Save her first."

"What needs to be done to save her?"

"To save Mariana we'd have to do the c-section."

"And the baby?"

"We would have to deliver her. Which would require doing the c-section. We've put it off this long. The risks are even higher now."

"Save them both. Tell Mariana it's to save the baby. She'll do the surgery if she knows that's how you save our daughter." I looked through the window at Mariana. "Do it. Save her." I nodded. "Save them both if possible. But I need my wife."

I walked into the room. "Mari. They're going to try to save the baby but they have to do the surgery either way. I know this isn't what you want, but this is what needs to be done."

"Just save her." She mumbled.

I kissed her forehead and looked at the doctor. They wheeled her out of the room and I stood there.

"Mapi." I looked at Virginia. "What about Mariana?"

"This is a risk for them both. But Mariana is strong, and if she's anything like her mother, Jordana is just as strong."

"Jordana?" Natalia looked.

"Jordana Gabriela. Our daughter." I looked at them.

"If Mariana doesn't make it, I'll never speak to you again." Virginia said.

"Vir." Lola turned to her.

"No. Don't "Vir" me. I can't lose my sister! Nahi and I are going to start our family. I need Mariana by my side. If she doesn't make it, you and I? We're done, Mapi." She walked away.

"Mapi are you going to stop her?" Lola asked.

"No." I shook my head. "I don't blame her."
