Mapi's POV:

"Felicia you're going to be late." I sighed.

"I'm here mama." She looked at me. "I'm sorry. I couldn't find my shoe."

"That's ok baby." I smiled. "Aunt Patri is out front. Have a good day. I love you."

"I love you too." She ran outside and I watched Patri grab her.

"Luca what should we do today?"

He laughed. "Ale!"

"Ok." I smiled. "We'll go see Alexia."

I got him in the car and drove to Alexia and Jenni's. "Luca." She opened the door.

"Ale!" He jumped. She picked him up. "Mama made breakfast today."

"She did?" He nodded. "And how was it?"

"Good!"

"That's good."

"Where's Jenni?" He looked around.

"Jenni is working."

"Why aren't you?"

"Because my job is more fun than Jenni's." He laughed. She put him down and he sat down. "How are you?"

"Exhausted."

"You look it."

"Oh thanks, Ale." I crossed my arms. "Patri took Felicia too school today. Vir is gonna pick her up when she gets here."

"How is our dear friend, Virginia?"

"You'd know more than I would." I sighed.

"How about you go rest. I'll watch Luca today."

"You have Enzo."

"Who is 2 years old. Mapi, let us help you. When's the last time you slept?"

"Mapi wake up." I sat up.

"What happened?" I looked around.

"The nurse is coming." Lola said.

"Mapi." I walked over. "Come with me." I stood and waited. "We've done all we can do." I nodded. "Mariana was very weak before and she's even weaker now."

"What does this mean?"

She opened the door and we went inside. The doctor looked at me. "We're keeping her sedated. Letting her body rest, heal." I looked at Mariana. "She's a strong woman."

"I know she is." I walked closer. "Will she be ok?"

"We'll continue to monitor her. Hopefully, she'll start to regain her strength. We'll ease up on the sedative as we feel she's progressing."

"I won't lose them? Her or the baby?"

"You aren't losing anyone."

I kneeled down and covered my face. "Thank you." I looked up at the doctor. "Thank you. All of you."

"The baby can go home in about 2 weeks. Mariana will be a bit longer. She'll need a lot of rest even when she goes home."

I smiled. "We have a big family. She'll get all the help and rest she needs no matter what."

"You're getting help too. So go home, eat, shower, sleep, relax. Let me help you. Please?"

I nodded. "Fine. But I'm going to see her first."

"No one's stopping you."

"Lola might." I smiled.
