October 2030

Mapi's POV:

"Babe? I'm home!" I shut the door behind me.

"I'm talking to Gabriel! Come say hi."

"YAY!" I ran to find her. I saw his face on the computer. "My man!"

"Mapi!" He smiled.

"How's it going?"

"It's a lot of work but I'm having fun." He said. "I made a lot of friends so far."

"That's great, kid." I smiled.

"They said I speak a weird mix of Spanish and Portuguese." He said.

"Figured." Mariana said. "You did spend a lot of time around your Spanish aunties."

"I miss everyone." He looked down.

"We miss you too." Mariana said. "We're all so proud of you though. We're going to come visit soon though."

"Ok." He nodded. "I have to go. We still have school."

"I know. Your father always complained about it. None of this stuff they're making us study will matter when I'm making millions!" Mariana laughed. "He always said that every time we asked about his grades." She looked up at me. "He was failing everything."

"Am I going to fail everything?" Gabriel asked.

"No. You see my dear nephew/son," Mariana said. "You have what's called a brain, and even better you have what is known as functioning brain cells." I laughed. "Your father lacked both of those things."

We finished talking to him and then hung up. "Did you get the mail?" Mariana asked.

"No." I stared at her. Then I ran outside and grabbed it. "Junk, junk, junk," I threw stuff on the counter. Felicia watched me and laughed. "Wait a minute." I smirked. "What is this?" I looked. "Save the date."

"FOR WHO!" Mariana yelled. "VIR AND NAHI!!! Or did Nat and Daan FINALLY pick a date?"

"You are invited to celebrate the marriage of," I paused.

"Mapi I swear to God if you don't tell me which of our friends are getting married!"

"Natalia Garcia DeLuca and Daniëlle van de Donk."

"YES!!" Mariana cheered. "Finally, it's been 84 years."

I laughed. "Summer wedding. In Italy."

"Now we need Vir and Nahi to sort their shit and get married." She sighed.

November 2030

Mariana's POV:

"Mari!"

"Nahikari. My favorite person."

"Hey." Carmen pouted.

"Did I say person? I met forward."

"Somewhere Jenni just went hey." Virginia walked over.

"Virginia. My," I stopped. "Did you get a haircut?"

"Screw you." She laughed and pushed me.

"Are you guys still fighting?" Carmen asked as we walked into the facility. "Because if you are, Mariana and I have something to do WAY over there."

Nahikari laughed. "We're not fighting anymore."

"Yay." Carmen said.

"We're also not having a wedding." Virginia said.

"What the fuck." I stopped. "Why!"

"The guest list. Apparently Nahi DIDN'T want Alex invited because of what happened last time. I still think she's overreacting."

"What happened last time?" Carmen asked.

"Last time Alex and Vir were in the same room, Vir kind of-"

"ANYWAY!" Virginia yelled. "We're getting all the paperwork sorted and will have a small courthouse wedding. Our families know, we're telling some friends. I hope you guys will come."

"When is it?" I asked.

"We'll have a date once all the paperwork is finished." Nahikari said. "It honestly works out better this way. Planning a wedding takes so much time and we've waited long enough." She looked at Virginia.

"Yeah. Waited 10 years to get together, 10 years to propose, let's face it Vir, you got like 3 solid years left in you."

"Aw, are you roasting Vir?" Lola joined us. She looked at Carmen. "Without me? Carmen, I'm proud and disappointed all in one."

"Why aren't you inside?" I asked.

"I need an extra pair of gloves. I left them in the car." She looked down.

"Forgetful in her old age." Virginia smirked.

"Keep talking there won't be a wedding. It will be your funeral." Lola glared at walked away.

"That's my wife." Carmen took a deep breath. "That's," She nodded. "that's my wife." She walked away.

I laughed. "Well, whenever the wedding is, you know I'll be there." I said.

"I was hoping you'd do more than show up." Virginia smiled. "It's not a traditional wedding, but I'd still really appreciate it if you stood up there by my side."

"Vir, it'd be my honor. Family remember? You and me?"

"Then, now, always?" She said.

"And then after that." I hugged her. "Get over here, Nahi." I looked at her.

"GROUP HUG!" Lola ran over.

"She ruined it." I said grabbing Nahikari and moving..

"Wait no don't lea-" Lola tackled Virginia. "me."

"Did I hurt you?" Lola asked.

"I can't feel anything." She groaned. "Oh my god."

I smiled and looked at Nahikari. "You're 100% sure you want to marry Virginia, right?"

She laughed. "I've always been sure when it came to her. She's a little insane but I love her."

"What is up with us? You, me, Mariona, Alexia, Carmen. Us and our idiots."

"We love our idiots."

I nodded. "And they love us."

"Yeah, we do!" Virginia yelled as Lola pulled her off the ground.

Carmen walked over and looked at them. "My wife is literally dragging Virginia. My wife. That is my," she sighed. "my wife. She's, what did I do." She turned and walked away again.

We looked at Lola. "Don't worry. She says like that 3 times a day, it's normal." She smiled.

"Is it though?" Nahikari asked.

"She loves me." Lola smiled. "She questions why she's with me, but she loves me."

"Our idiots." I laughed and took my phone out. "Now I want to call my idiot. Thanks, you guys." I walked away and called her.

"Everything ok?" She answered.

"Yeah. I just wanted to hear your voice." I smiled.

"You missed me that much? You've been gone for like an hour." She laughed.

"I just love you. Is that a crime?"

"Nope. Because I love you just as much. Can I tell you about this drawing I'm working on?"

I opened the doors and walking into the facility. "Tell me all about it."
