Party Time

June 2026

Mariana's POV:

I woke up and turned to Mapi.

"What?" She rolled over, eyes still closed.

"How did you know I was looking at you?"

"I feel it." She opened her eyes. "What are you thinking?"

"We're getting married next week." I smiled. 

"We are. Any regrets?"

"Just one." She panicked and sat up. "That we didn't get married sooner." I smirked.

"You jerk! I thought you were about to break up with me." She laid back down.

The next few days I went and stayed with Virginia. Mapi was with Leila.

"Are you ready for married life?" Lola asked.

"I don't think anyone's ever ready for it. But I'll have Mapi by my side through everything and I have some pretty amazing friends too." I looked at them.

"Speaking of friends." Virginia smiled and looked behind me. 

"Surprise."

"Nat!" I hugged her. "I didn't think you'd be able to come."

"Miss your wedding? Come on Mari don't be stupid." She laughed. 

"You did bring a date yes?"

"I did. She'll be here for the wedding. I came early because Virginia asked me too. Said we're having a party?"

"Vir no." I turned to her. "Please no."

"Relax. You don't like big crazy parties and I respect you." She smiled. "We're just going to eat and then I got us a private section at this club. Drink a little, relax, hang out it will be fun."

"Hang out with who?" I asked.

"PARTY!" Kelley yelled while downing another shot. 

"You invited Kelley."

"I wasn't going to but," Kelley took another shot. "She seemed pretty fun. That's like 10 shots where is she putting all of this?"

"Never let Kelley be unsupervised around alcohol. Rule number 1."

"Press." I smiled. "Vir invited you too?"

"No. Vero told me. It's been years. Get over it."

"Those weren't penalties and you know it." Virginia said.

"Ok! No football talk! I'm getting married!"

"Yes! To the soon to be married Mariana!" Virginia held up her drink. "May you enjoy your last few nights of freedom!" 

Mapi's POV:

"Everyone's at a party and I'm alone." I sighed. "Having the same friends at my soon to be wife isn't as fun." I looked at the ceiling. "They probably aren't even having that much fun." I opened Instagram.

Everyone's story was at the party. 

"Damn it that looks fun." I locked my phone. "I'm only going for an hour! Yeah, bullshit Leila. It's been 4." 

Mariana's POV:

"Ok, we now know Virginia's limit." I laughed as I held her up. 

"I got her." Nahikari said from her other side.

"Lola just walk."

"I can't." Lola said. "My legs feel like jello." 

Carmen looked at me. "I don't know how to deal with this."

"I got it." Jenni grabbed Lola's arms. "Carmen grab her feet."

"Kelley how are you feeling?" I looked at my American friend.

"Fine." She said. "You guys can not hold your liquor. How sad."

"Fuck you!" Virginia yelled.

"Wow." Natalia laughed. "I'm so happy I came to this."

"Hey Vir. Just think." She looked at me. "You get to do this ALL again at Mapi's party."

"No!" She yelled. "I am NEVER drinking again."

"She's drinking again." Alexia said as she recorded Jenni and Carmen dragging Lola. 

"Ale put the phone away and help!" 

"No way this is too much fun. Lola say hi!"

"Hi." Lola said weakly.

"Mapi is probably having a better night."

Mapi's POV:

"I wonder how many marshmallows I can  stick to the ceiling." I said while laying upside down. "What do you think?" I turned to my cat. "5? Hmm. I say 10." I sat up. "I'm talking to a damn cat. I've lost it." 

The door opened and Leila walked in. "Hi. I'm not drunk."

"That's exactly what drunk Leila wants me to think." I sat up.

"Oh, you're smart. You should marry my friend Mariana. She's cute. Not AS cute as Mariona though. Look at us." She flopped on the couch. "MARIana. MARIona. We have types. Friendship goals."

"I'm getting you water."

"No thanks I drank enough."

"Yeah. You did." I laughed. "Who's worse? Vir or Lola?"

"They're like tied. I was waiting for the tiebreaker but then Carmen said no and Nahikari dragged Vir away. Kelley drank more but it did no damage at all. Are all American's like that?"

"I'll ask Mariana in the morning." I put a blanket on her. "Get some sleep."

"I'm not tired." She closed her eyes. "I'm only closing my eyes because you're ugly."

"Leila." I sighed.

"You're right. I lied, you're hot." She passed out right after and I laughed.

"Never change Leila." I went into my room and opened my messages. 

Leila is home safe and sound. Where's Mariona?

Didn't want to deal with drunk Leila so she's with me. Sorry.

It's fine. Fun night?

I'm never going out with Lola or Virginia for as long as I live. Because I want to live long and they are dangerous.

Understood. I love you.

I love you too. Can't wait till you're my wife.

4 more days.

I locked my phone and closed my eyes.

4 more days till I'm her wife.

I can't wait.

THE WEDDING IS COMING!!!! Who's Natalia's date??
