Mapi's POV:

"Everyone ready for Carmen and Lola's wedding?" She smiled.

"Yep!" Gabriel jumped in. "Look at my bow tie." 

"My little dude." I high fived him.

"Here comes the cutest girl." Mariana said. She held Felicia's hands as she waddled into the room. 

"Stop why is she so cute?"

"Look at her mother." Mariana said. "Hello." 

"Mendes gene." I nodded. "True, true. And you look beautiful as always." I kissed Mariana.

"Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself." She smiled.

"Thank you, my love. Alright! Mendes Leon gang. To the car. We've got a wedding to get to. Even though they've been secretly married this whole time and then remembered they have friends."

"Babe."

"I'm just saying. Mariona and Leila got married and had a big wedding, we got married and had a wedding. Jenni and Alexia ran off one week and got married, Lola and Carmen got secretly married AND pregnant. For all we know, Vir and Nahikari could be married and have 5 kids." I shrugged. "I don't know."

"Vir would never be able to keep that to herself."

"True, but she kept her mouth shut about Ale and Jenni."

"I know, but Nahikari laughs at a stupid joke and Vir sends a group text about it." I laughed. "You're right. Anyway, to the car."  

Mariana's POV:

"I now pronounce you married. Lola, you may kiss your bride." 

Mapi clapped.

"We're married!" Lola smiled.

"You were married before!"

"Shut up Virginia!" 

I laughed. The party was underway, nothing too crazy as they had babies now. Virginia bounced Felicia on her lap. "Did you miss aunty Vir? I think you did."

"Got both of you a drink." Nahikari sat down.

"Thanks." I smiled. 

"Just water, of course." 

I nodded. "You a real one." She laughed. "So when are you joining us in Madrid?" 

She nodded. "And there it is. Come on Nahikari. Come sit and talk with us. Should've known that's what you wanted."

"You're back to being by yourself. Nat left a while ago. Why not join us in Madrid? Think of the goals you and I could score." I crossed my arms. "I'm just saying."

"What about me?" Virginia pouted. Nahikari grabbed her hand.

"And Vir is there too! It's a win-win!"

Nahikari laughed. "I don't know how much I'm allowed to say, but I have started negotiations with Madrid. Obviously, Real Sociedad doesn't want to lose their captain so they're really holding on."

"Not surprised." I looked at Mapi dancing with Gabriel. "You're insanely talented. Anyone who has you on their team will do whatever it takes to keep you." 

She turned and smiled. "I heard she officially adopted him."

"Yeah." I nodded. "His legal guardians are now Mariana dos Santos Mendes and María Pilar León Cebrián." 

"Mapi's all grown up." She said.

"Speaking of growing up." I looked at Virginia. "Are you two planning any secret weddings? I know that's a trend here. If you do can I please be included? Vir, you're like my sister."

"You'll be the first to know." She smiled and played with the ring on her finger.

I looked at it. No, it's not an engagement ring. While they were separated, Vir got a pair of rings. As a way of saying that the distance won't get the best of them. It'd only make them stronger. 

I know that as soon as they're together, or have a plan set, she'll exchange it for an engagement ring. 

"Babe." Mapi walked over. "I need to sit for like 5 minutes. I forget how much energy that kid has." 

I laughed and got up. "Sit down, my love. I'll take over." 

Mapi's POV:

"I love you." I watched Mariana walk away. 

"Attention!" Lola stood up. "Can everyone look at me please. Hi yes, your favorite goalkeeper is speaking."

"Excuse you?" Sandra crossed her arms. 

"I said what I said. Don't attack me on my wedding day." I shook my head. "First I want to thank all of you for being here today. When we decided to get married, we wanted it to be between us. We've been together for so long that when we decided to take that step, we wanted to do it together. Just us, but we always knew that when it was time, we'd include those who love us. Those who have always supported us. Our family. Notice I didn't say friends. Because when you feel the love that we feel from you, you stop being friends. You become family. So to our family. We love you all, thank you again." 

December 2028

Mariana's POV:

"She's pregnant!" Mapi ran into the bathroom.

"Hello to you too." I said. I was showering after practice.

"The surrogate! She's pregnant! It worked! We're having a mini Mapi!"

"That's awesome." I laughed. "Can I finish my shower now?"

"May I join?"

"Out." 

I finished my shower and got dressed. I walked to the kitchen and saw Mapi. "Where's?"

"Felicia is playing. Gabriel is with her." Mapi smiled. "I'm getting dinner started."

"Wow. Look at you. Domesticated." I laughed. "Who are you and what have you done with my Mapi?"

"I realized it was time to grow up and be the wife you deserve."
