Mariana's POV:

"OW!" I heard. I opened my eyes and looked around.

"Did you fall off the bed again?"

"No." She groaned.

"Mapi." 

"Yes."

I rolled over and looked. "You've fallen and can't get up."

"Are you gonna lay there and make jokes or are you going to help me?"

I smiled and got out of bed. "Come here, you big baby." I helped her up. "Well, good morning."

She laughed. "How was your sleep?"

"Better." I nodded. "I think the meds are working."

"Good." She looked around. 

"A free weekend."  I stretched.

"I have a few clients today. So I'll be working."

"That's fine." I said. "Lola texted Vir and I. Something about a day together." I shrugged. "Kids are welcome."

"Leila is taking Dario to the movies today. He wanted to know if Gabriel can go." 

"If he completed at least one thing for his homework he can."

"Ok." She grabbed her phone. "Man, we are crushing this parenting thing."

"MAMA!" Felicia yelled.

"I'll grab her, you get Luca?"

"Ready and break!" 

Mapi's POV:

I opened the door. "Did someone order two Ouahabi's?" Leila smirked.

"No. I ordered one." I grabbed Dario. 

"I'm not a Ouahabi." He said.

"Not YET." I pointed to him.

"I gotta pee. Is Gabriel ready?" Leila walked away.

"Yeah!"

I sat with Dario on the couch. "I don't like when people call me a Ouahabi. Or a Caldenty." He crossed his arms. "I'm neither of those." 

I smiled. "Do you want to be?"

"Yeah. But they haven't talked about adopting me yet." He looked down. "They're gonna bring me back."

I leaned back and looked at him. "Ok nephew. Listen up it's storytime." 

February 2030

"Yay, Spanish moms." Mariana hugged them.

"You alright?" I asked.

"We raised one hell of a kid." Mariana said.

"I just followed your lead." I smiled. "Are you two gonna stay for dinner?" I asked Alexia and Jenni.

"Depends on who's cooking." Alexia smirked.

"How about Jenni and I cook?" I crossed my arms.

"How are we feeling about this?" Alexia whispered.

"How's Jenni's cooking?"

"She knows her way around a kitchen. But when you add Mapi to the mix."

"She's been doing good lately. Your lessons paid off." Mariana said. 

"Good to know." Alexia nodded.

"We're right here!" Jenni yelled.

Mariana laughed. "Go off you two." She said.
