Get Over It

No one's POV:

"FC Barcelona welcomed Atletico Madrid to Camp Nou yesterday. What a match that ended up to be. 4-0 Barca going into halftime."

"Yeah Mariana, the former Atleti striker scoring just 15 minutes into the match. Jenni Hermoso setting up the Portuguese forward gets taken out by Lola Gallardo but scores anyway. Later in the 21st minute, Mariana will score her second. Jenni again getting the assist on it."

"These two are having the best time playing together. They are quite the duo. Patri makes it 3-0 in the 33rd minute. Mariana stopping an attack from Virginia Torrecilla and getting the ball to her captain, Alexia. Alexia finds Patri who scores easily.  We go now to the 42nd minute. Jenni brought down in the box, Mariana steps up to take it and easily slides it by a diving Lola Gallardo."

Mapi's POV:

"5-1." I sighed. "What a way to beat Atleti." I turned to Mariana.

"I have a black eye." She crossed her arms.

"And that's why." I saw Jenni coming. "We're doing this. Jenni!" I waved. 

"What the hell, Mapi." She sighed. 

"No!" Virginia turned around. Alexia grabbed her as Jenni grabbed Lola.

"This needs to be done!" 

"I'm not getting punched again!" Mariana looked at me. 

They stopped in front of us and Mariana looked at Vir and Lola. 

"You three need to sort this shit out!" Jenni yelled. 

"She started it." Virginia sighed.

"What did I do?"

"You left! You asshole."

"Sorry for not wanting to renew my contract! Sorry for wanting to be closer to Mapi!"

"Bros before hoes!" 

"Excuse me." I looked at her.

"Shut up Mapi. This doesn't concern you."

"You just called me a hoe. Now I'm concerned."

"Mapi." Alexia sighed. "Let them talk." 

"We will be over there." Jenni said. "Please. Talk this out."

Mariana's POV:

I stared at Lola and Virginia. "My contract was up. My nephew was coming to live with me, Mapi and I are getting married. Did you expect me to stay?"

"I expected you to tell me!" Virginia yelled.

"I wanted to! I wanted to tell everyone! I couldn't even tell Mapi! Vir they told me to keep it to myself. It was announced until the season was over and I was back in Portugal. I didn't even know when they were going to announce it. They just did."

She looked away. "I thought we were going to be teammates for a long time. I loved playing on the same team as you."

"I loved it too. We were great friends before I signed with Atleti. Why does it have to end?" 

Lola walked toward me and hugged me. "I'm still mad you scored a hat trick."

I turned to Virginia. "And I'm still mad about my eye."

"It was an accident." She rolled her eyes.

"You accidentally ran across the field and elbowed me in the eye?" 

"Yeah." She nodded. 

"Fuck you."

She gave me the finger as Lola pushed her. "It's over now. Can we just. Move past it."
