My family really bought my sister a brand new $22,000 Honda CR-V and I don't even get a penny to put toward buying a car... 

And now I have to buy a car and see HOW I can manage to afford it.

July 2027

Mariana's POV:

"When did you do this?" Mapi asked.

"Probably the end of April."

"That explains why you didn't play the last few games of the season!"

"Well, we weren't playing for much. Weren't in a Champions League spot, couldn't win the league so I thought why not." 

"And you found out when?"

"I went in a few weeks after."

"They said you were pregnant?"

"He said to go to America and come back. When I got back, he gave me the good news that I'm pregnant." 

"So how far along are you now?" Mapi asked. 

"About 2 months." I said. "We're going to the appointment today." I said. "We can hear the heartbeat today. Are you ready for that?"

"Yep!" 

Mapi's POV:

"Ok ready?" The doctor asked.

"NO!" I yelled. "There's going to be a heartbeat in there." I pointed at Mariana's stomach.

"Yes. Your child."

"That's weird." I stared. The doctor started and we looked at the screen.

"There is your baby." 

We listened to the heartbeat and everything was great. 

As we left the hospital I looked at Mariana. "You're going to have a bump at Leila and Mariona's wedding." 

She wrapped her arms around me from behind. "Not if I do this I don't." I laughed and rested my hands on her arms. 

"It's in a few weeks."

"I know." She said. "We'll tell them, just I want to make sure our little angel is ok before we do." 

"With you carrying this baby, he or she is perfect." I kissed her and we drove home. 

A few weeks later

Mariana's POV: 

Mariona asked Alexia and I to be her maids of honor. Yes, she asked for two.

Leila asked Vir and Mapi. So it was a very chaotic evening for them. 

"We'll have to at least tell Alexia. I don't want you getting dragged into a crazy pre-wedding party." Mapi said. 

"I know." I sighed. "Ok. We'll tell Alexia. She was the first one we told about getting engaged."

"When should we tell our parents?" Mapi asked.

"My parents are coming to Barcelona for the wedding. We'll tell Alexia, then when my parents get here, we can invite them and yours over and tell them. Then we'll tell everyone else!"

"Good plan." We high fived. "We are crushing this marriage thing." I put my hands on my hips. "Ok. Call Alexia. Invited her over."

Alexia showed up. "What is this about?" She asked. 

"Just about the party for Mariona." I asked from behind the counter. 

"Now you want to help? I haven't seen you in weeks, Mariana. We're supposed to do this TOGETHER."
