Three Days Later.
Riley's POV
Last night was our first night home. I hardly talked to my dad or the guys or Sabrina at all. I'm still incredibly angry, but I've had some time to cool down.
Now that I've been on the road with the guys and the band for three months, is almost weird being home. Now I see what my dad means when he says It's strange to come back from tour. In my case, however, it's a bit different than that...a lot of memories are starting to come back; memories from when I was little. This is where I was kidnapped. This was where my years of torture all started. Soo in short, being home isn't as good as I thought it would be.
I did, however, manage to get a half way decent amount of sleep because I was so tired. Now, I'm sitting in bed, reading my book on my tablet. This book has been a bit helpful to my situation, but some of the suggestions seem pretty stupid.
Practice in the mirror. Yeah, right.
As if on cue, I hear my dad's footsteps, signaling that he's awake. I have no idea how I'm supposed to face him after everything that's happened, and with everything I have on my mind...I hear voices too. Sabrina must have stayed over.
I sigh. I shut off my tablet then set it down. I throw my covers to the side and stand up. With a yawn, I stretch and grab a hair tie from my dresser and put my hair into a bun. I then turn to walk out of my room.
*CRASH* "DAMMIT."
I run down the stairs and go into the kitchen and see my dad on the floor, picking up pieces of glass, presumably from a coffee mug.
"Be careful." Sabrina says.
"Jesus, I thought you broke the entire kitchen!" I say.
My dad looks up, surprised to see me, "You heard that?"
"Vancouver heard that." I say.
Dad rolls his eyes and throws the pieces of glass away.
"Um...sweetheart, why don't you sit down? Your dad and I have something we want to talk to you about." Sabrina says.
I gasp, "You guys are getting married. Sabrina's pregnant!"
"No!" They both say.
I put my hands up in surrender, "Okay, okay, geez." I say, sitting down. My dad sits down too.
"Riley," he starts, "We think we know what's been going on with you lately."
My eyes widen. How could they know?
"You do?" I ask.
They nod.
"When you had that outburst, it was the last day of Warped. You knew we'd be coming home soon, and this house brings back a lot of bad memories of when you were kidnapped." Dad says.
While he's right, that's not why I had that outburst.
I think. This could be a good opportunity to tell them the real reason. I mean they're right here. I could get them to listen to me...
"Dad, that's..." I start.
Bbuuuuuuutt then I chicken out.
"Exactly true." I finish, "I'm sorry."
"Don't be." Sabrina says.
"We're sorry for not listening to your like we should have. It's just sort of hard when we're on tour to focus on anything but tour, you know?" Dad asks.
"Totally." I say, understandingly.
"Well, your dad and I think we may have something that'll help solve this little problem." Sabrina says.
