Riley's POV

Max came over every day this week after school since she didn't get to see me in school due to the suspension. She's getting along really, really well with everyone. The guys tell me all the time how cool they think she is. And every time we see her, she has a different colored bow in her hair and an awesome pair of boots on her feet.

Max and I are sort of against everyone else in our school. It's really just me and her; but I don't mind. I don't like people much. I don't need a whole lot of friends. I'm perfectly fine with just having Max at my side.

As requested by Principal Davis, I visited the school guidance counselor during my homeroom period the day I returned to school. On the bright side, I don't think I'll have to go again. I think I've convinced everyone that I have a good home life and support system.

In other news, everyone else that was unaware of my coming out is aware of it now. Other friends and family members, and pretty much MIWs entire following. A lot of people were confused, but my dad has had nothing but good things to say about it.

However, there of course was some backlash that wasn't very good. This was to be expected though; this is all a pretty big deal and we all knew that not every response would be positive. Nevertheless, most of the feedback was positive, which certainly made me and Max both feel really good.

All in all, it's been pretty good. We've gotten a lot of support from friends and family, and they've all been so great about the whole situation. They have all made this so much easier. It makes me wish I'd found the strength to do this sooner.

Now, however, it was that time of year again. It was time for MIW to leave for tour again. My dad isn't quite ready to leave me home alone just yet. This is why we're driving to Juliet's house. My dad says that if everything goes well with her this time around though, he'll consider leaving me on my own for the next tour.

It's really starting to set in now. This is the first time my dad has been on tour without me since I returned from being in captivity. I'm really going to miss him and Sabrina and the guys.

We pull up to Juliet's house. I get my things, then step out of the car with my dad and Sabrina. We walk up to the house, and before we can even knock, the door is opened by my little cousin, Anthony.

"Uncle Chris!" The six year old exclaims.

My dad smiles and hoists him up, "Hey, how's my favorite nephew?"

"I'm your only nephew."

"Doesn't mean you can't be my favorite." Dad says, "Where's your mom at?"

"Right here." Juliet says, walking out.

Dad sets Anthony down and smiles, "Hey, Jules." He says, hugging her.

They come apart and Juliet hugs Sabrina and I as well. Anthony just hugs our legs.

"Riley, you have everything you need?" Juliet asks.

"Yeah, I think so."

She nods, "Well come on in. Anthony, why don't you go show Riley where to put her things?"

"Okay!" Anthony says, excitedly. He takes my hand and pulls me off.

Chris' POV

"He's getting so big." I state, referring to Anthony, "How's he handling everything?"

"How are you handling everything?" Sabrina asks.

My sister and her husband were currently separated.

"Well, I've certainly been better, but I'm alright." Jules says, "As for Anthony, I dunno. It certainly looks like he's doing alright. He's still a bit too naive to understand, I guess."

"Savor that while it lasts. I long for the days when Riley was still naive and innocent. Now we're dealing with dating and bullies."

"Ah, yes. How do you guys like the girlfriend?"

"She's a really great girl and we think Riley is good for her. She's good for Riley too." Sabrina says.

"Well it's good you guys like her. This whole thing must have been so hard on Riley; it's good that she has you guys to help make it easier."

We nod as Riley and Anthony walk back down the stairs.

"Well...we've gotta get going." I say.

Riley nods, then walks over and hugs me. I hated this part when she was little, and I hate it now. Saying goodbye is the worst.

"It's only for a month." I say.

She nods. We come apart and Riley hugs Sabrina. Juliet and Anthony hug us too.

"I love you guys." Riley says.

"We love you too, sweetheart." Sabrina says.

Riley nods, "Have fun. Take lots of pictures for me."

"We will." Sabrina says, smiling.

I nod, "Well, um...goodbye."

Riley nods. She hugs us one last time, then Sabrina and I have to walk out.

Riley's POV

The next day.

Max walks up to me in the hallway at school. She was in a bright purple tank top with a black leather jacket over it and black ripped skinny jeans. She had a purple bow in her curly hair and black dangly earrings and a big black necklace across her chest. Purple eyeshadow coated her eyes, dark maroon lipstick covered her lips and she had black talons on her nails. Black leather bracelets with studs covered her wrists and purple platform heeled boots covered her feet.

"Hey." She says.

"Hey." I repeat.

"You doing okay? I know your dad and Sabrina left for tour yesterday."

I nod, "I'm alright. They called me this morning. They're in Sweden right now, and they'll be in a few other countries over the course of the tour. It's gonna be really good for them."

"It's good that you're taking all of this so well. I'm always such a mess when my dad leaves."

"You are?" I ask, "I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Your situation is pretty different than mine."

Max nods, "Yeah, it's just...when my dad leaves, you never know if he's gonna come back..."

I nod. I take her hand and we walk to class.

A/N: I know, I know, sucky filler chapter, I know. The next chapter is gonna be a good one though, promise. It's a pretty important one too.

Since this was such a short chapter and it was kinda boring, if you guys gimmie lots of votes and comments I'll update another one BEFORE I GO TO THE MIW CONCERT TONIIIIIIIIGHT!

I WILL tell you this. There's a bit of foreshadowing here in this chapter...
