Riley's POV
I have no idea where we are.
We're driving to whatever place my dad and Sabrina wanted to show me, and I have no idea where we are.
I hear my dad and Sabrina murmuring things to each other that I can't make out. Whatever it is they're saying, they sure seem to be excited about it.
My dad turns the car to the left, and we're suddenly driving down a beautiful Victorian neighborhood.
"Woah..." I say.
"They're amazing, aren't they?" Sabrina asks.
"Yeah..." I say in awe.
We drive down to the very end of the neighborhood until we get to big black gates. I can't quite see what's passed them though; just a long driveway. My dad pulls out a small remote with only two buttons, and presses one of them. The gates open and we continue on through.
"Where are we?" I ask.
"It's known as the old Collinsworth Estate. It supposedly used to be inhabited by the devil himself. I mean, I figured it was only appropriate." My dad says.
"Figured what was appropriate?" I ask, gazing out at the large trees that lined the drive way.
My dad stops the car in front of one of the largest houses I've ever seen. The drive way turned into a U shape in front of it and wraps around and goes back in the direction of the gates we came in from. The house was a beige - gray color and it was made of stone and bricks. It was definitely more than one story tall. Some vines were growing on the left side of it. On the right side was a round part and it looked like it was made entirely out of 180 degree windows. It definitely had a bit of an eerie creepy old house vibe to it. It sort of looked out of place in the summer August weather, but I bet it looks killer around Halloween.
"That we move here." Dad says.
I'm snapped out of my thoughts. My eyes when and my mouth falls open. I look to my dad in shock.
"Are you serious?!" I ask.
"Yeah." He says, smiling.
"But how?!"
"Well, I had my eye on this place a while before I found out you were still alive. When you came back, that all was post-poned. Soo when it came to our attention that the house we're currently living in isn't so good for you, we decided to start thinking about moving again - and this place was still up for grabs. So after a lot of phone calls, emails, and a lot of shopping from Ikea's Internet store, we're good to go! Now all we have to do is pack up our shit and move in!"
"What do you say, Riley? We've been planning all this since your birthday." Sabrina says.
"Wait - we? As in...the three of us?!"
"No, we're kickin' ya out." My dad jokes, "Yes, the three of us!"
I smile, then hug them, excitedly, "Hell yeah let's do it!"
My dad chuckles and Sabrina smiles.
"Alright, I'm glad we're all in agreement." My dad laughs, "I've actually had some help in furnishing a good part of the house, but there's still plenty of room and lots of other rooms for us to put all of our other shit in. In the mean time...you wanna go see your new house?"
"Yes!" I say, quickly and eagerly getting our of the car. My dad and Sabrina laugh and follow suit.
"Okay, we can go in through the front which will lead to the livingroom first, or we can go in through the back and see the ballroom first - take your pick." Sabrina says.
