The 23rd of March was the single day that would change Logan's life forever
It's impossible to say exactly every event that lead to 23rd of March being so special so instead I'll just tell you the components of what happened that day, starting with the first.
An Alarm Clock.
Logan woke up to the same dull tone every morning. Those beeps were the only thing stopping him from never getting up and quitting his job.
He got up out of bed and made his way to the kitchen to make breakfast.
He started with bread, then toast, Crofters and finally a delicious breakfast.
He got his keys, his phone and his wallet before heading out of his house and locking the door behind him.
He got in his car and drove for a few minutes to another day of work.
A Job.
The second thing that made this day so important was Logan's job.
Logan didn't hate his work, part of him looked forward to going and working another day. But of course there are always bad days that make you want Earth to fall out of orbit and collide with the sun.
Logan was a kindergarten teacher. He enjoyed passing on knowledge so teaching was always an obvious choice for him. He didn't like the gross dirty side of young children but always had a bit of a soft spot for their friendly and curious aspects which lead him to teaching kindergarten.
He walked through the glass doors of the school and into his class where he taught everyday.
He sat down at his desk and waited for the students to arrive.
The students.
The children came pouring in one by one with parents by their side holding their hands. Logan was used to it taking a while for the parents and children to separate so he usually just sat at his desk in silence or chatted with parents during this time.
He was sitting at his desk when two friendly parents walked over to him with their two kids holding one parent's hand each.
Logan recognised the parents as Remy and Emile Collins and the children as Remus and Roman Collins.
"Hello Mr and Dr Collins, how may I help you?" He said with a formal and friendly tone that made him surprisingly good with kids.
"Hi, we just wanted to personally apologise with how Roman and Remus acted in class yesterday." Emile said as his husband nodded in agreement.
"What do you say Roman?" Remy said as said child lifted his gaze up from the floor and looked at his teacher.
"I'm vewy, vewy sowwy for telling evewyone that Remus is a dwagon witch and scweaming Disney songs during nap time. It wasn't nice and I pwomise to not do it again." He said with a genuine tone.
Logan looked at the apologetic child and smiled.
"You are forgiven. Now you can go have fun some of with the other kids in the play area if you'd like." He said as the child's eyes lit up with pure joy and he ran to the toy house to play with dolls.
"Now Remus, what do you say?" Emile asked the other child who almost had his entire fist in his mouth. Remus removed his hand from his mouth and looked at Logan.
"I'm not sorry for hitting Roman when he called me a dragon witch! He started it!" He squealed as both of his parents winced at the loud noise.
Logan looked at him and spoke with a calm voice.
