After I got healed by Recovery Girl, I made my way back to the training. I saw the half and half guy do his without fighting. He's pretty strong. I think he is a pro hero's son but I'm not sure who it is.
Before we left for school, All Might told us that in two days we will be doing disaster training at a place called the USJ. So we have the weekend to prepare. I'm actually really excited about this. This is like real hero stuff. Not saying that the other stuff wasn't really hero stuff, it's just...that...ugh nevermind.
Anyways, when I got to the locker rooms Ashido bombarded me with questions. Apparently my mic cut out and she didn't hear what I said to Bakugo. Thank god though. Ashido doesn't even know about the soulmate thing.
"Oh come on!" Ashido whined. "I deserve to know, I'm your best friend." She gave me those stupid puppy dog eyes. We walk down the hallway towards the school exit.
"Look, I'm sorry, but I can't tell you." I apologize, I let out a long sigh and I turn to look at her. "When I get everything sorted out I'll tell you okay."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
We make it outside and I see Bakugo walking out of school. "Hey, Ashido, do you think you can go ahead, I want to talk to someone."
She gives me a suspicious look before nodding her head and walking faster towards her house.
I catch up to Bakugo. He simply glances at me before turning his head forward again.
"Can I talk to you about the whole soulmate thing?" I ask.
"No." He starts to speed up and I speed up with him.
"Why not?"
"Because it doesn't matter."
I get my quirk ready because I know he can fly. If he's gonna fly away from me then I'm just gonna have to fly with him.
"Of course it matters."
He turns to look at me. He lets out a sigh and glares. "This soulmate thing is stupid, just leave me alone and don't talk about it with anyone." Bakugo hissed.
Sadness took over me and I silently said "What?"
"I said it doesn't matter." He said a little bit louder. He turns away and continues walking.
"Oh come on, don't be like that, of course, it matters." I grab his hand and he stopped walking. "Can we at least get to know each other a bit more?"
He lets out a long and dramatic sigh. "Fine, tomorrow at 4pm at the park on first and second avenue and wear athletic clothes." He pulls his hand away and continues walking home.
I sit there dumbfounded. Did he just set up a date? No. Don't get over yourself.
When I get home, I quickly go to my room and I take out my phone. I receive a text from my mom saying that she needs to go and help some of her patients. She's not going to come home till later. Well, at least I get to go and get my favorite foods. Ooooh, I could get pork cutlets or hot pot or some Chinese food or some pho. I could get it all.
It wasn't unusual for my mom to be working late nights. She was a nurse at a hospital, so she always has to take late shifts. My mom's quirk was Dragon, which is where my sister got it from. However, my sister and I are only half-siblings. That is why we don't have the same quirk. My sister was the famous No. 10 Hero, Ryukyu. Her quirk was Dragon. Like she can just turn herself into a dragon. My dad, who died before I could remember, had two quirks. Shapeshifting and Fire Manipulation, so with a mixture of my mom and dad's quirks. I got an odd fire dragon hybrid quirk that was slightly unstable.
