I passed the final exam! I got in eighth place out of the whole class! I know some people didn't get as good of grades, for example, Ashido. She was really down about the whole thing and I felt horrible for her. I know that she studied for so long. Katsuki got third in the class, which was surprising considering he calls us nerds. I was excited about the training camp, though, I don't think it's the best idea because of the recent villain attacks.
The door opened and revealed Mr. Aizawa.
"Once the bell rings, get in your seats." He says as everyone shuffles to their seat. "Morning. Unfortunately, there are those who did not pass the final exams. Accordingly, for the training camp in the woods, everyone's going!" He states proudly.
The class brightens up and starts cheering. Ashido is practically crying.
"Some failed. But no one failed the written exam." Aizawa says. "In the practical, Kirishima, Kaminari, Ashido, Sato, and Sero failed." He looks to those students as he said their name. "In the first place, the training camp is one to increase strength. So those who failed, need it the most. They have to get stronger."
Iida shoots up from his seat and raises his hand. "However, since you lied to us twice, our faith in you will waver!"
"Wow, you're being a wet blanket, Iida." I hear Ochaco say. I chuckled under my breath at that.
"That's true. I'll consider that." Aizawa starts again. Iida sits back down. "But I wasn't lying about everything. Failure is failure." He looks back towards the class. "We have prepared a separate time for extra lessons for you all." The students that failed all looked down at their feet. "Frankly, it'll be tougher than the extra lessons you'd get if you stayed at school."
At lunch that day, I sat with the Bakusquad. As I like to call them, but today Midoriya and the others decided they wanted me to sit at their table. I guess they wanted to ask me something. I shot Katsuki a look before going over to their table. Midoriya was sitting with Ochaco, Iida, Todoroki, Tokoyami, Momo, and Jiro.
Ochaco looked towards me and started. "I wanted to ask about what happened during the final exams."
I stopped eating my food and looked up at her. "What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean."
I sigh and put my utensils down. Katsuki is facing me and I give him a look that says 'can I tell them?' he rolls his eyes. Okay then. "Katsuki and I have this thing called Soulmate Syndrome and basically we are soulmates and whatever pain that Katsuki feels, I feel too and that's why I was like that during his final exam."
The table goes silent. They all stop eating their food and look at me. I couldn't read what they were thinking about. I felt like they were all judging me.
"R-really?" Midoriya says.
"Yeah."
I felt awkward so I started to gather my stuff. I stood up from the table and went back to Katsuki's. I sat down next to him.
"They asked me about the soulmate thing," I muttered. I guess everyone at this table heard me and looked up.
"What did you tell them?"
"Just the basics of it."
"Okay."
We sat in silence for the rest of the lunch period. At the end of the day, I went to my locker to get my stuff. Most of the girls were already standing there.
"I'm sorry if we seemed judgemental it's just...it's Katsuki and you," Ochaco says. Tears were welling up in her eyes. "Please forgive me!"
"It's okay, it's just a weird thing and I don't want a lot of people knowing."
