Fire in Her Eyes (Bakugo x OC)

Chapter 21

Before class ended that day, Mr. Aizawa had a very important announcement to make. 

"Well, it's almost time for summer vacation, but of course it wouldn't make sense for you to rest the whole month." He states in his usual tired and bored tone. "During summer vacation we will be having a training camp in the woods!" 

We all cheer in excitement, some students already start planning what they will do. My classmates start talking about baths and hot springs, oh wait...actually Mineta starts talking about baths and hot springs. 

"However," Mr. Aizawa starts. "Those who do not pass the final exam before that will be in summer school hell." 

Kirishima and Kaminari instantly start encouraging us to give it our all. I'm pretty nervous about the whole final exams. I always get test anxiety and screw up on the test. Especially Math...Math is literally my worst subject. Maybe I could study with someone. I could ask Momo, she's at the top of the class. 

At the end of class, Ashido wanted to talk to me about the whole Bakugo thing. I went over to her house which was a little far from the school. She offered to pay for my bus ticket. I declined because I had a better idea. 

"Do you want to fly?" I ask.

"That's illegal, you're not supposed to use your quirk unless you allowed to." She whispers. 

"Oh, come on, it'll be fun!" I take off my jacket and my wings start coming out of my back. U take her over to an alleyway so that we won't be in the way of anyone. 

"Oh okay, fine, but if we get in trouble-" 

"We won't now hop on my back." She hops on back and I start flying up, slowly though. I don't want to scare her. 

I fly out of the alleyway and start flying towards her house. I can sense that she is nervous because she is sweating, a lot. The sky is a nice orange color mixed with yellow and pink clouds. I see her house in view and I start descending. She winces a little bit in my ear and then I land. She hops off my back and wobbles a little bit before standing up straight. 

"See that wasn't so bad!" I say cheerfully. 

"You do that..." She points to my wings. "Every day?"

"It's cheaper than a bus ticket, so yeah." We start walking inside. Her parents aren't home yet and so we just go up to her room. She closes the door behind her and sits on her bed. I sit on her desk chair. 

"Okay, so what is the deal with Bakugo and you?" She crosses her arms and looks at me seriously. 

"Let me explain the background of it first," I sigh. I've never told anyone about this outside of my family. "When I was born I was diagnosed with something called Soulmate Syndrome, basically it means that the universe thinks that two people are so right for each other that the universe gives them a little 'push' per se. This is supposed to speed things along." I lick my finger and I move my sleeve up my arm. I wipe the makeup off my arm and my tattoo is revealed. "The universe puts a tattoo of the first words the other person says to that person." 

"How come you never told me this?" 

"I don't know, to be fair I never told anyone except my mom and my sister." 

"Wait, so from what I'm getting here," She looks up to me and gives me a shit-eating grin. "Are you and Bakugo soulmates?" 

"Y-yeah." 

She screams out in joy and runs over to me and engulfs me in a tight embrace. "YOU ARE YOU GOING TO NAME YOUR KIDS? I'M THE MAID OF HONOR AT YOUR GUYS WEDDING! AHHH I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!"
