"Well then, let's do this provisional license thing..." A tired man who could be mistaken for Mr. Aizawa said. "I'm Mera from the Heroes Public Safety Commission." His voice is barely over a whisper. "The kind of sleep I like is non-REM sleep...Nice to meet you."
I nudge Katsuki. "Hey, he kind of reminds me of Aizawa," I whispered.
"Oh, definitely, that could be his cousin or something."
"I will give you the orientation," He gives us all a blank stare. "About the content of the provisional license thing, frankly all 1,540 examinees here will have to win through a free-for-all exercise!"
I looked around the room at everyone. Some people you could tell what their Quirk was, others you couldn't. I received some glares from people. God, I hate it here. They all know about us but we don't know about them. It feels unfair but that just means that I have to try harder.
"The first hundred to fulfill the requirements will pass," Mera said as a big screen lit up behind him. I heard some people complain from beside me. "So anyway, here are the requirements." He held up two objects, one was a ball and the other a weird attachment piece. "The examinee will put three of these targets on his or her body. They can go anywhere, as long as it's an exposed area. You can't put them in the soles of your feet or in your armpits." He explained. "You will also have six of these balls. The targets are made to only light up if these balls touch them, and if all three of your targets are hit then you're out."
I should put one on hand, and one on my thigh and one on my stomach. Like, put them places that are going to be hard to hit.
"The person who lights up your last target will have it count as a defeat." He continues. "you get through the round by defeating two people. That is it for rules."
That'll be easy. I've been practicing that fire cage trick. Damn, I am glad that I came up with that.
Other staff members start handing the stuff out to us. I put my targets on and hold the balls under my wing. The ceiling of the building started to open, then the walls came down. Then when I looked outside, I saw that we were in the middle of the stadium. There were multiple areas of different types of fighting scenes.
We all started running towards different areas of places. I flew up in the sky and sped towards the city scene. I had three two balls in one hand (;)) and one in the other. I flew towards a large alleyway and hid for everyone to pass. I separated from the group. My Quirk is only useful with groups when it involves rescuing.
A loud horn blared and a voice over the intercom followed. "The first test, start!"
I heard voices come from my right side. I hid behind inside a doorway and I looked out. Five, no, six students were there. One had a large rock build, and the others looked boringly normal. They started walking down the alleyway, unaware that I was there. To my left, there was no one. I took this opportunity to send trap them in my fire cages. I then pushed down with my hands and all of them were forced into an awkward crouching position.
"Sorry, but I need to win," I said before touching the balls on all of their weak points.
"Only one person has passed." I hear the tired man say over the intercom. "Akira Tatsuma from U.A Class 1-A is the first to pass. She took out six people at one time!"
Fuck yeah, I am. Take that Katuski!
I start making my way back to the waiting area. When I get there I find a place to sit. I gave Mr. Aizawa a thumbs up before I landed.
"One person took out 120 people!" I heard over the intercom.
Damn, I wish that would've been me. That really tall dude names Inasa came walking in a few moments after that was announced. I waved at him and he waved back. I passed around the place for the remainder of the time. I was overly concerned about my classmates. I know that Katsuki split off from the group. I mean it's Katsuki and knowing Kirishima, he probably went after him and then Kaminari followed the both of them.
