I woke up a little bit before the end of the final fight. My wounds weren't completely healed up but I asked Recovery Girl if I could just stand out there for the award ceremony. She said that was fine, I just had to take it easy. The healing process for me would take a couple hours. But it had only been an hour or so.

I heard that Bakugo won, but not it in the way he wanted to. Todoroki didn't use his flames on him and sort of gave up. Then I heard that after Bakugo was named the winner, that he went and confronted Todoroki.

The pain in my side still stung with every movement that I make. My back as well. Recovery Girl managed to stop the bleeding and healed all of my bones.

I walked down under the stadium to the 3rd place stand. Bakugo was in the stand next me. He was chained up and looked really angry. I looked over to him and he looked back at me. He gave me the look saying 'are you okay?' I gave him a thumbs up in return.

I heard from above us. "And now we will begin the award ceremony!" I heard fireworks come after that and the crowd cheering. We got lifted up into the stadium. I had a handle next to my side so that'll help me stand. It looked kind of pathetic but I understand why they did it. Bakugo was struggling a lot. Which I feel like shouldn't be surprising.

I winced as I moved a bit. I started sweating bullets and my mouth became really dry. Recovery Girl was on stand by and so were some paramedics. The flashing of lights was starting to give me a headache. I gave the most weak smile to the cameras. Ugh, that's going to be plastered all over the news.

"In addition to Akira, Iida was also in third place, but he had to leave early." Midnight announced.  "Now we will award the medals! The presentation for the medals will, of course, be by this man-"

I heard a loud laugh come from the rooftop of the stadium. It was the most distinguishable laugh, it was none other than All Might himself! Seriously! I've never talked to him one-on-one before! This'll be so cool! He takes a running start before flying into the air, he does a front flip and lands right in front of the podiums.

I give him a weak smile. The pain in my stomach had started to get worse and worse. I look over to Recovery Girl and I put one finger up. All Might walks over to me and I bow my head slowly.

"Young Akira, congratulations." All Might praises. "You are strong, and I could tell that you have been training."

"Thank you!" I smile up at him. He moves on to second place.

At this point the pain is too much to bear with. I start stepping down the steps and I walk over to Recovery Girl and her and a couple of paramedics usher me out of the stadium. I hear whispers from the stands and the students as well. One of the paramedics wraps his arm around me and helps me walk.

We get back to the recovery room and they start helping me with my wounds again. Because of her quirk, I was put to sleep.

*Time Skip*

After a couple hours, I was finally healed and I grabbed all my stuff before I made my way back to my house. It was around 6 o'clock, so my mom should be cooking dinner right about now. The sun was setting which gave off an orange hue in the sky. It really looked like something out of an aesthetic picture. My walk home was cut short when I saw Bakugo walking home as well.

"Hey, Katsuki!" I started running towards him. "Congratulations!"

He looked really surprised when he turned around. He glared at me in return. I guess he is still mad about winning unfairly.

"What do you want?" He grumbled.

"My house is this way, so I was gonna walk with you."

"Whatever, do what you want." We both silently walked down the street some more. My turn off was coming up so I quickly turned to him again.

"Hey, so I was wondering, tomorrow at 1, meet me at the mall." I opened my bag and took out a marker. I grabbed his hand and I wrote my number on it. My didn't try to pull his hand away. He just let me write, which was weird. He's been acting weird all day.

He didn't say anything, except he wrote on my hand with my marker his number. I gave a small smile before turning around to walk to me house. Heat was quickly rising to my face. This day was actually pretty good.

I started walking up to my apartment. Nevermind I was wrong. My stupid stairs were going to be the death of me. I walked up the first flight of stairs quickly. I looked up. I had five other floors to go up! I wish they had an elevator.

I kept at it though. By the time I made it to the fifth floor, my knees were shaking. Recovery Girl said her quirk uses stamina to heal her patients. I guess she wasn't kidding. Just one more floor though.

I was finally at the sixth floor when I realized that my apartment is at the end of the hallway. I took a mini break before walking down the hallway. My backpack was already halfway off my body at this point. I might as well pass out in the middle of the hallway. Ugh, my back really hurts.

I finally got to my door. I took off my bag and started searching for my keys. But for some reason I couldn't find them.

"Where are you? Where are you?" I mutter to myself. I start searching my pockets and I still couldn't find them. I searched my back pack again and they were in the stupid front pocket. I took them out and started unlocking my door. When I opened the door, it looked like someone ransacked the place. There was a vase on the ground that was shattered into pieces.

"Mom? Are you home?" I call out. No one answered. I walked towards the living room and I see a hand behind the couch on the floor. I walk closer to see who the hand belongs to. "Mom?" I walked a little closer. Red splotches were on the floor and the couch. I run over and I see my mom lying on the ground. I walk over to her body and I put my fingers on the side of her neck. Dead. My eyes start welling up and I start breathing really heavily. I get out my phone and start dialing to the police.

"What is your emergency?" The dispatcher asks.

"I came home and I found my mom dead in my living room!" I cry into the phone.

"We are sending an ambulance, what is your address?"

I give them all my necessary information and I just stand there. My mom is dead. What am I going to do. I notice a white paper next to her head. A note. The killer left a note? I pick it up and start reading it.

Dear Akira Tatsuma,

By the time you have found this, your mom is dead. We already asked for you to join the league but you said no. This is our final request. Otherwise, more people will get hurt. We will hurt the closest people to you. We will make sure that they don't die a fast death. Join the League of Villains or your family and friends will perish.

Sincerely,

                     The League of Villains.

My eyes widen, at the same time. The paramedics come through the door. There is a slight ringing in my ear as I just stare at my mother's body getting carried by one of the paramedics down the stairs. Police officers start asking me questions. I give them the note. They usher me out of the apartment and down the stairs. I make a quick call to my sister. I told her everything. Police and ambulances surround my apartment entrance. Some news reporters are there too.

They get me into one of the ambulances as they bring my mom to the hospital.

There is no use though.

She's already dead.
