Fire in Her Eyes (Bakugo x OC)

Chapter 16

Today is first day back at school since the sports festival. I started flying to school instead of walking. It would suck if I had to walk to school. I landed right before the entrance of the school. I got there right as the bell rang for class to start. 

I started running inside. Nobody was outside because it was raining. I used my wings to shield myself from the rain. I know how perverted Mineta can be and these shirts can be quite revealing when they are wet. 

I make it right at the door when the bell rings. I let out a sigh. I opened the door and for some reason the door wanted to be extra fucking loud. Some of my bandages on my stomach were starting to get loose. I guess I didn't do it right. 

Lucky nobody noticed. I went to my seat and sat down. Bakugo was staring out the window in his usual mean look. Ashido was talking about a lot of people were talking to her on the way to school. I guess everyone was talking about the same thing too. They all seemed like they had good breaks. 

Ashido walked over to me and stood next to desk. "I heard what happened." She quietly says. "I'm really sorry!" She hugged me and squeezed really hard. "I hope you feel better! I brought you some chocolate just in case." 

"O-oh a um thank you, and it wasn't your fault." My mom, I almost had forgotten that she was dead. I had done everything I could to get my mind off it. 

The door opened again, revealing Mr. Aizawa. 

"Morning." He said in his usual tired voice. Mr. Aizawa's bandages were gone and a faint scare was left on his face. 

"Good morning!" We all said in unison. 

"The old lady went overboard with her treatments." He explained. "More importantly, we are having a special hero informatics class today." The class gets really nervous at this. Are we having a quiz? God, I hope not. "Code names." 

Code names? Like hero names? That's going to be hard to do. 

"You'll be coming up with hero names." The class got super excited at this. "You will be interning with a hero for a week and so you will need hero names, heros have sent in offers to you guys." He takes out a remote and clicks a button. "Here are the offers." 

I looked for my name. There it is! I'm the second one? That's weird. I got 3,000 something offers. Todoroki was in first and Bakugo was in third. 

"In other years, they have been more spread out, but everyone had their eyes on these three this year." Aizawa explained.

Heroes wanted me to intern at their agencies! That is so exciting. I don't know who I'm going to go with. 

"Todoroki's first, Akira's second and Bakugo is third...?" Jirou asked. 

"It's the opposite of their placement in the Sports Festival." Kirishima states. 

"Some people are too scared to ask for a guy who had to be restrained to a podium." Sero jokes quietly. But Bakugo still hears him. 

"WHAT'RE THE PROS SCARED OF!?" Bakugo screams. He makes the ugly gremlin face again. God, he is going to be the death of me. 

Kirishima starts again. "Hey, Akira!" I turn to look at him. "You got a bunch of offers too!" 

I blush at this. They make it seem like it's so amazing. But I'm indecisive, so I might die. 

"I'm sure you got a bunch of good offers as well." I looked up towards the board again. Midoriya's name wasn't up there. I looked over to him. He looked pretty sad. Which I probably would be too if I didn't get any. 

"Keeping these results in mind, whether of not anyone asked for you, you will be participating in internships with pros." Aizawa says. 

"Internships?" Midoriya asks. 

"Yeah." Aizawa starts again. "At USJ, you already got to experience combat with real villains, but it still will be meaningful training for you to see pros work first hand." 

"So that explains the hero names!" Sato excitedly announces. 

"Well, those hero names are temporary, but if you're not serious about it..." Aizawa gets interrupted by the door opening and Midnight was standing there.

"You'll have hell to pay later!" Midnight shouts. "Because a lot of hero names used by students become recognized by society, and they end up becoming professional hero names!" Midnight, the R-rated hero, starts flaunting her body and speaking at the same time. 

"Well that's how it is." Aizawa said. "So Midnight will be making sure your names are okay, I can't do stuff like that." He starts taking out his signature sleeping bag and starts climbing in it. "When you give yourself a name, you get a more concrete image of what you want to be like in the future, and you can get closer to it." 

The rows in front of me start passing back whiteboards and markers. What do I want my name to be. I dunno. I can't be like the 'The Dragon Hero' cause my sister is already 'The Dragoon Hero'. Maybe I could do like the 'Flaming Hero'. I can lit my whole body on fire, so it'll be like a flame. Ugh, I don't know. This is hard. I could just do 'Doragon' which literally translate to Dragon. I might do that. 

"Okay, let's start presenting names with students that are ready." Midnight announces. 

Aoyama goes up, his is 'Shining Hero: I can't stop twinkling'. That's a mouthful. It seems like everyone agrees with me. Midnight suggests shortening it to 'Can't stop twinkling'. 

Ashido goes next, hers was 'Alien Queen', then Tsu goes up, hers is 'Froppy'. everyone starts chanting 'froppy'. Kirishima goes after her, his is Red Riot, Jiro goes up hers is Earphone Jack. Which I think is really cute and totally applies to her quirk. 

I can't decide between Flaming Hero or Doragon. I like them both so much and this is just too hard. A few more people go up. Then Bakugo goes up next, oh boy. He holds up his whiteboard, 'King Explosion Murder'. I let out the ugliest laugh at this. 

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU LAUGHING AT?" He screams at me. 

"You...sound...so...serious about it." I say in between laughs. "It's more of a villains name if you ask me." 

"You should be Explosion Boy!" Kirishima suggests.

"SHUT UP WEIRD HAIR!" 

A few more people go up, I decide that I should go up as well. I finally decided to go with one. I walk up to the front and I hold up my sign. "Doragon." It said. 

"I like it!" Midnight says. 

I start blushing at this. Everyone else that was left started going up. Iida just went with his name. And Midoriya went with 'Deku'. Bakugo's second option got rejected, it was 'Lord Explosion Murder'. 

Aizawa woke up from his nap and got out a bunch of papers. He started giving them out to the students that had offers. He handed me my paper right as the bell rang. I scanned through the names. One caught my eye.
