Fire in Her Eyes (Bakugo x OC)

Chapter 52

The generic hero makes a weird hand signal. It's an 'L' and the bottom part of the 'L' is pressed against his forehead. It probably stands for 'Liberation' or some shit. 

"This place isn't usually my turf, but today is a big exception!" He exclaims. 

A few more people come up to us. They looked like important business people. One had a neatly tailored suit and the other had a long dress and a fluffy jacket. 

"Just as he says! Here in Deika City 90 percent of the population, heroes included, are liberation warriors, lying in wait," The man in the suit said. He paused for a second. "This is a liberated district! Thank you for making the trip and welcome!" 

I run in front of the group. I see people start to run towards us. I use my Pure Inferno move to blast them to ashes. However, I didn't burn. I managed to take out 10 or 20 of them. The League follows suit and they start attacking the Liberation Army. 

"Your broker?" I heard the man say. "Waiting just over there with our grand commander." He points to the tallest building in the city. 

"Off to the tower, then!" Shigaraki says. 

I follow behind them. I don't want to fly because then they could easily shoot me down and then I wouldn't be much use if I needed to fly people out. I run behind them, Toga is running next to me. We are at the back. I make sure that no one is left behind. 

Suddenly, the ground from under us explodes. I land face-first onto the asphalt. I stand up and look at my legs. They weren't injured. Strange. Toga was though. I helped her stand up. Her leg was charred. 

"The perpetrator of the chain of 'Death by Blood Loss' incidents, Toga Himiko, right?" The lady with the dress and fluffy jacket said. "And the missing girl who is known as the 'Villain Killer' for the number of times you've only ever killed villains, Akira Tatsuma?" 

Villain Killer? I mean, I have only killed villains. Except for that police officer. 

"'The High School Girls Descent into Madness'" She pictures. She makes it sound like she is reporting the event right now. "'A Shocking Interview with the Girls Themself', would you like to participate?" 

"Nope." Toga responds. 

"Forging their bodies and souls, all for the sake of living as humans should," She said. More villains started to surround us. Toga and I were standing back-to-back. "That's why it's quite vexing for your group of late starters to have become the talk of the nation. Toga Himiko, it seems you're not fond of interviews. As such, I must apologize. Toga Himiko, from this point I am going to thoroughly strip you down." 

Toga throws a knife at one of the villains standing next to the woman. Some of the villains then try to lunge towards us. I disintegrate them without hesitation. Probably about five or six of them were reduced to ashes. Sorry. 

Toga leaves from behind me and lunges at the woman. Villains try to stop her but I burn them up. Toga gets thrown into a nearby shop, the window shatters and glass fly everywhere. I run over to her and help her up. "I got your back Toga, but you need to take that woman out!" I encourage. 

"Don't worry about me!" She said. 

"Just what kind of life do you live?" The woman shouts from outside. 

"AHHH Watch out!" I heard someone scream at us. 

I cover us with my wings to avoid whatever was coming. A huge explosion erupted through the store. People started to come in through the windows. Toga pushed me back as her syringes flared out and attacked the people that came in. She put her mask on and started to drain her victims. I stood behind her and waited for someone to try to attack her.
