I have been training for the Sports Festival for about five days now. I've asked multiple people if they could train with me. Sadly I think people are afraid of me. No one would practice with me. I'm not asking Bakugo, cuz we all know what happened last time.

Right now I'm at my local park, it is around 7:00 pm I think. I'm just practicing alone. Not a lot of people come to this park because it's not the most nicest park. It's kind of dry and boring. I have to be extra careful though, I don't want to cause a fire. Oh who am I kidding? I'm literally fire. I'm like Natsu from Fairytale (don't spoil it for me).

Anyways I first started drinking lots of milk recently. My bones are way too fragile for my own good. After that I started training my fire to last longer and not leave burns along my arms. So far, I am unsuccessful. Parts of my arms are bubbling and blistering and some areas are just bright red.

"Do you need any help?" A voice asks. I turn around really quickly to see a man. Probably around 20 years old, standing in front of me. He has what looks like burns and staples? In his face. He wears a long black trench coat and a white shirt with black jeans to match.

"Uh...uh no, who are you?" I ask.

"I'm Dabi, I've been watching you for awhile, I think you might need help with your quirk."

"Okay? That's not creepy at all." I grab my ice water and I put on my wrists. Some of the red areas go down a little bit. "What do you think I might need help with?"

"See this?" He opens his palm and a ball of blue flames come out. Woah! That is so cool! "I have some experience with fire."

"Are you seriously going to help me?" I ask excitedly. "None of my friends wanted to help me cause they think I might disintegrate them and like I'm just so happy that I found a training partner!"

"Ugh, shut up before I change my mind."

For the next days leading up to the Sports Festival I trained with Dabi. He even taught me how to take care of my burns and stuff. Like he was like the older sibling I never had. Don't tell that to my sister. He taught he how to change my diet so my bones get more dense but I can still fly and stuff.

I lost some weight but gained a lot of muscle. On the last day of my training he told me that after this he can't help me anymore. When I had asked him why he said don't worry about it. Which doesn't help.

*Time Skip*

Today is the day of Sports Festival. I'm so psyched!

I had to get to school early otherwise I would be in trouble. Mr. Aizawa can be a real bitch sometimes. Don't tell him I said that.

Right now I'm in the locker room and we have to wear our PE uniforms. Which kind of sucks, but wouldn't be fair considering that my costume comes with weapons. Ashido was loudly complaining about wearing the PE uniforms. Bakugo was sitting silently by himself and so was Todoroki.

Now that I look at Shoto kind of looks like Dabi. Like his eyes, I mean his eye, are kind the same color as Dabi's. Maybe they are related. Naw, that doesn't make sense. Todoroki has two different eyes.

I walk over to Bakugo and he looked at me with a dangerous glare. I have never done a 180 so fast. I start walking to the other side of the waiting area. I sit down by myself at a table and I start looking at my phone. I look through my text messages and I see that my older sister and my mom had texted me. They had both wished me good luck. I don't feel really nervous because I feel really prepared. Thanks Dabi!

"Midoriya." Todoroki says as he approaches Izuku.

"Todoroki, what is it?" Midoriya responds.

All of us perk up at this. This can't be good.

"Looking at things objectively, I think I'm stronger than you."

"Huh?" Midoriya says. "Y-yeah."

"But...All Might has his eyes on you, doesn't he." He stares dead into Midoriya eyes. "I'm not trying to pry into that. But I'm going to beat you."

Kaminari spoke up. "Oh? Is the best in the class making a declaration of war?"

"Hey, hey, hey! Why are you picking a fight all of the sudden?" Kirishima said. He put his hand on Todoroki's shoulder. "Not now we are about to start!"

"We are not here to play at being friends." Todoroki sneeres. "So what does it matter?"

"Todoroki I don't what you're thinking when you say you'll beat me, but of course you're better than me. I think you're more capable than most people, looking at it objectively..."

Kirishima starts again. He's like Switzerland. "Midoriya, you probably shouldn't be talking so negatively..."

"But, everyone, the students from the other courses are aiming for the top with everything they've got! I can't afford to fall behind. I'll be going for it with everything I have, too!"

"Yeah." Really, that's all he has to say to that. Shut the fuck up, you boring unflavorful side character.

After that speech was over, our class walked over to the tunnels that lead to the stadium. My legs were kind of shaky and my hands were overly sweaty. Maybe I am like Bakugo now. We walk into the middle of the stadium. I can feel eyes from all around me. Everyone knows what happened at USJ. Some people are staying away from. It's quite visible.

Bakugo notices this and I watch as he stands next to me, our hands touch for a brief moment. Heat starts rising to my face as a small smile dances on my lips.

"Don't let this get to your head." He mutters. I could tell that he was smirking.

"Time for the player pledge." The pro hero and r-rated hero Midnight said. I saw how most of the boys looked at her. Her hero costume was...interesting. "Quiet everyone! Representing the students is Katsuki Bakugo from class 1-A!"

"Good luck!" I whispered.

"I don't need it." He started walking towards the stage. Everyone was looking at him with wide eyes and their mouths were practically on the ground.

He gets onto the stage and a waits a second for everyone to be quiet. He really wants the attention I guess. "I pledge...that I will be number one." He says in a monotone voice.

The crowd starts booing him and shouting insults at him. The students started doing the same. Iida was scolding him loudly and everyone else was just booing him. Some of the heroes looked shocked and some looked mad. Well obviously, they don't want an asshole to be a hero (*cough* endeavor *cough*)

He walks off the stage and back towards me. A lot of people are glaring at him and saying insults under their breath. I lean my mouth towards his ear.

"Don't let it get to your head, huh?" I whisper so softly that only he can hear me. I received a chuckle from him. A small one, but still a chuckle.

They bring down a huge screen and Midnight gets ready to announce the first challenge. Please don't be an obstacle race, please don't be an obstacle race. And it's an obstacle race. I fucking jinxed it. Ugh, I hate these. The good thing is, I'm allowed to use my quirk any way I want to. That means I can fly. Wow, this is going to come and bite me in the ass later.

We all take our places at the start line. I get my wings out. But only my wings. I start flying up a little bit. Some people watch.

"Start!" Midnight shouts.
