Fire in Her Eyes (Bakugo x OC)

Chapter 17

Isn't Todoroki's dad Endeavor? Maybe I should ask him. I don't know, I don't want to go into family business. I'll just do it anyways. Plus, there were other places I could go to. My sister requested for me to intern at her agency as well. I could always to that. 

Now it was lunch time. I was thinking about asking Todoroki now, but I'm not sure where he is. I looked around the lunch room for a bit before I saw his signature half-and-half hair. 

"Todoroki! Can I talk to you for minute?" I called his name and started walking over to him. 

He turns around to look at me. He's bored expression gazing into mine. "Sure." He mutters. He sits down at a table with Midoriya, Iida, and Ochaco. I sit across from him. Everyone was talking about who they wanted to intern for. "What did you want to talk about?" He starts eating his lunch. 

"Uh, well I got an internship request from Endeavor and I heard that he was your dad so I was just wondering if I was making the right choice?" The people next to me got silent. Midoriya winced at my question. Is something wrong about me asking for his dad? 

"My old man asked for you?" He looks up from his lunch and puts his utensils down. 

"Yeah, and I was thinking about going to his agency 'cause we have somewhat similar quirks." I look around everywhere, I was trying to avoid eye contact. I felt really awkward now. 

"Let's go talk about this somewhere else." He grabs his lunch and stands up from his seat. I follow, we start walking out of the cafeteria and down to the courtyard. He sits down on the bench and I sit next to him. He turns to me "You can do whatever you want, but just know this, it isn't going to be fun. He isn't nice. Despite being the No. 2 hero. I'm also thinking about going to his agency." He said in a low voice. 

"Ok, well we can do it together!" I exclaim. I give him a big goofy smile. "We can be like the fire twins." 

He chuckles at this. I've never really talked to Todoroki one-on-one before. He always seemed cold and distant. But it was nice to see him laugh. I feel like there is something he isn't telling me about his dad, though. What could he mean by his dad isn't nice? Does his dad beat him? Oh my god that would be horrible. Will his dad beat me up too? 

"Well thank you, Todoroki!" I stand up and throw my lunch away. I turn back towards him. "I think I'll go with his agency, I'm gonna go hand in forms for it." 

He just nods before turning back to his food. 

I walk back to class and I hand in my form to Mr. Aizawa. School ends shortly after that so I go to get my stuff. A lot of people are in the locker rooms so it was kind of packed. I squeezed my way to my locker. I grabbed my stuff and left. It wasn't raining anymore so that was good. I took off my jacket and left my wings come out. I shot up into the air and started flying. The sky was a nice orange color today. 

When I got home the TV was on and playing the news. The TV showed the Hero Killer: Stain and what happened in Hosu City involving Ingenium, who is a small hero there. 

Two days later, we were starting our internships. Todoroki decided to go with Endeavor after all. I was kind of glad that one of my classmates would be joining me. Even if I don't know them very well. I was also kind of scared to go to Endeavor's Agency because of how Todoroki sounded. I feel something bad might happen while I'm there. 

We were all at the Train Station right now. UA gave us our hero costumes, I guess we are allowed to use them. 

"You all have your hero costumes, right?" Mr. Aizawa asked. "Remember you aren't allowed to wear them in public. Don't drop them or anything."

I stood next to Bakugo, quietly listening to out teacher. Bakugo was going with Best Jeanist, which was unusual considering they are quite the opposite. He seemed pretty keen on going. My hand brushed with his and he looked at me. 

"Promise you'll be safe?" I ask. 

"You don't have to worry about-" 

"Promise?" 

"Yeah, yeah whatever." 

"Good, I know you and your reckless personality." 

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING RECKLESS?" 

I look him up and down before walking towards the train with Todoroki. He walks a separate way. 

Our train finally arrives near Endeavor's Agency. I look up to see a massive skyscraper. A huge letter 'E' was on the front of it. We get inside and go to Endeavor's office. Which was bigger than my apartement. Todoroki and I both stand in front of his desk. There was a lot of tension between Endeavor and Todoroki, even I can see it. Endeavor started talking to Todoroki about taking the path of the mighty and how he's glad to have him here. Todoroki fires back with some good insults that make it hard for me to laugh. Endeavor turns to both of us. 

"You should get ready, we are going out." He said. 

"Where?" Todoroki asks. 

"I'll show what a hero is." He gives both a burning gaze before dismissing us. 

We both get showed to out separate rooms. Mine is next to his. I slip into my costume. The room was like a nice hotel room. There was a big white bed in the middle of it. A mini fridge and a microwave. A bathroom was connected to the room. Even my room at my apartment was smaller than this room. 

I open the door and step outside. Todoroki is waiting for me outside. His phone chimes as a new text message comes in. 

"We have to go!" He starts running down the hallway towards the elevator. 

"Wait, Todoroki where are we going?" I yelled after him. We make it inside the elevator and he pushes the first floor button. 

"Midoriya sent me his location and I think he might be in trouble." 

"What? Okay." 

Todoroki and I start running towards the location that Midoriya sent us. When we got there there were multiples of the monsters that were at USJ. I think they were called 'Nomu'. Endeavor was already there. 

"Todoroki, go help with Midoriya, I'll help here!" I start running towards one of the Nomus. I send a huge blast of white flames from my palms, disintegrating one its arms. 

Endeavor lit the Nomu on fire right after that. I added more of my white flames which ultimately burned it to ashes. Endeavor gave me a death glare before going to another one of the problems. 

Wow, didn't like me stealing his thunder, huh? What a dick. 

I looked up to one of the building roofs. Something caught my eye. Is that? No it couldn't be. It fucking is. Those bastards. Why are they here? 

The hands guy and the warp guy were both sitting on one of the nearby building's roof. They peered down on the battle that was going on below them. The hands guy looks at me and decided that the most I could do right now was show him where he can shove it. He seemed taken aback by my actions. I turned around to go and fight more Nomus. I was unaware of the fight that my friends were going through.
