Fire in Her Eyes (Bakugo x OC)

Chapter 12

(A/N: My two favorite fights are in this chapter and I'm sorry but these are so amazing and these scenes are one of the reasons why I love MHA so much and yeah, so enjoy!) 

The next team to fight was Kirishima and the dude with the weird eyelashes. Present Mic said that they have redundant quirks. So I'm guessing this might take awhile. They both walk out into the stadium and they start fighting. Which is kind of boring considering their quirks are almost the exact same. 

Bakugo's fight is up next. He's up against Ochaco. Ochaco and Midoriya aren't in the stands anymore. I'm guessing Midoriya is helping her plan out her fight. Bakugo looks really concentrated on Kirishima's fight. 

"You nervous?" I ask. 

"Not really, you better win your fight though." He grumbles. 

"And if I don't?" 

"Then we will have a rematch another time." 

"I have to say, Bakugo, you're pretty cocky," I smirk. "I've been training lately." 

"I could tell, you haven't been using a lot of your power." 

"I'm saving it," I turn to look at him. "because I'm going to be number one." 

He looks at me with a smirk present. "Number one dumbass." 

"Oh, really? Dumbass." 

"YOU'RE THE DUMBASS!" 

"No, you." 

"Both contestants down! It's a draw!" Midnight announces. 

I looked over to the field and I see Kirishima and the eyelash dude both laying on the ground, knocked out. That's what happens when you have redundant quirks. Bakugo begins to stand up and go down stairs. 

"Good luck!" I shout towards him. I hope Ochaco will be okay. I'm not worried about Bakugo, but Ochaco isn't as strong as him. Don't get me wrong, she is strong and intelligent, but Bakugo is on a whole other level. 

(A/N: This is like my favorite fight in the whole series and so I'm actually going to narrate this because it's amazing) 

They both walk out onto the stadium. Bakugo and Ochaco both look determined. 

"From the hero course, Bakugo Katsuki! Versus. She's the one I'm rooting for! From the hero course Ochaco Uraraka!" Present Mic announces. "Eighth match, start!" 

At that Ochaco starts running towards Bakugo. She's keeping her body low and her hands ready to activate her quirk. Bakugo prepares himself. He blasts an explosion right in her face. This pushes Ochaco back. There is a smoke everywhere so I can't see much but her jacket came through it. Bakugo mistook this as Ochaco and blasted it with another explosion. Ochaco comes out behind him and almost touches until Bakugo sees her and blasts an explosion in her face. I watch as she touches some rocks on her way towards the ground. What is she planning? I look up towards the sky. 

Bet, Midoriya helped her with that. That is so smart! I look up to see some of the bits and pieces of the cement that Bakugo broke apart, they were floating up in the sky. Some of the crowd starts protesting against Bakugo being so harsh. Ugh, they should see him and I fight. That's going to be a bloodbath. Eventually the crowd starts booing. These are pro-heros? Wow, they are stupid. 

"There is booing from the crowd, but honestly I feel the same-" Present Mic gets interrupted by Mr. Aizawa taking the mic from him. 

"Was that a pro-hero saying he is playing around? How many years have you been a pro? If you're saying this with a straight face, there's no point in you watching, so go home! Go home, and look into changing careers!"  Mr. Aizawa pauses for a second before continuing. "Bakugo is being careful because he has acknowledged the strength of his opponent who made it this far. It's because he is doing everything he can to win that he can't go easy on her or let his guard down." 

The two competitors stand their panting and waiting for the other to attack. Ochaco stands up straight and starts to put her hands together. Oh hell yeah girl! Make him feel pain! She smirks and touches her fingers together. Bakugo looks utterly confused before realizing. The meteors start falling closer towards the ground. Ochaco takes this chance to run towards Bakugo. Bakugo takes this chance to blast a huge explosion out of his hand. He clutches his hand though. It's as if Bakugo has a weakness! Do big explosion hurt Bakugo? Oh this'll be fun. 

The blast from Bakugo knocks Ochaco to the ground. At this point I'm on the edge of my seat. When the smoke clears, I see Ochaco laying on the ground. She looked knocked out, but she wasn't. Her body starts shaking as she tries to get up. She gets up slowly and tries to stand up straight. She stumbles a little bit. Bakugo starts running at her and she tries running towards him too. Her body, already going past her limit, decides to give up. She falls to the ground with a painful thump. She tries crawling towards Bakugo. Tears were falling down her face and eventually she gave up as well. 

"Uraraka is out of commision." Midnight announces. "Bakugo advances to the second round." 

Bakugo stands their looking defeated. Even though he was the one who won. 

We move onto the second round. The first battle is Todoroki versus Midoriya. Mine is third, against Tokoyami. Bakugo sits down next to me looking mad as usual. He looks concentrated as well. 

Both competitors walk onto the stage. Todoroki glaring at Midoriya while Midoriya is standing there looking confident. Todoroki starts with a huge blast of ice, that Midoriya defeats with a wind punch thing from one of his fingers. His finger is, oh my god his finger is broken! This can't be good. He's going to lose before they can even start the match. They keep doing the same thing for another like ten minutes. Ice starts to form on Todoroki's face. Maybe this is a setback to his quirk? Todoroki is only using his ice quirk. He isn't using his fire quirk. 

I kind of scared for Midoriya though. Watching him get hurt, time after time, makes me want to cry. I cover my eyes at some point and I hear a 'tch' from my side. Ugh, whatever Bakugo. 

Midoriya charged at Todoroki and he responded with encasing Midoriya's arm in ice. Midoriya's arm was already broken and so were all of his fingers. His ice wasn't fast enough though. Midoriya was dodging Todoroki's ice blasts left and right. Todoroki and Midoriya were now fighting close combat style. I flinch and place my hand on the arm rests, where Bakugo's hand was. I wrap my fingers around his hand and I squeez. This is kind of comforting to be honest. 

Both had gone desperate. They both stand there, I think they are conversing about something. I hear faintly from the stadium. 

"It's your power, isn't it?" Midoriya's voice says. Is he trying to win or trying to help Todoroki. Either way he has a death wish. 

Todoroki's fire quirk starts to activate. A smile grows on my lips, along with everyone else. A huge blast of fire erupts from Todoroki's body. I hear a shout from a crowd. I look over to see the number 2 hero Endeavor. Ugh, I never liked that dude. He was quite rude to me when I asked him how to improve my fire quirk.

The cold air suddenly turned warm. Todoroki started shooting ice from his feet and preparing his fire. Midoriya gets into a fighting position. Cementoss starts shooting cement from where he was sitting. Midnight got hero quirk ready as well. Walls and walls of ice shoot from Todoroki's foot and Midoriya jumps above it and starts flying towards him. Todoroki waves his fire hand around and starts creating a wave of fire. It melts the ice and starts heating up the air quickly. Todoroki moves his fire hand up and blasts Midoriya with it. At the same time the cement walls go up. But Todoroki's fire shoots through them. The cool air was not expanded by the hot air which created an explosion. This blows up the stadium and smoke is everywhere. 

I couldn't see anything. The smoke started to clear and Midoriya lied out of bounds and against the wall. I was quite disappointed. I thought he had a chance at winning. Todoroki still stood in the middle of arena. His clothing was slightly burned off. He had some nice abs. 

"Midoriya is out of bounds." Midnight announces. "Todoroki advances to the third round." 

I wonder if Dabi is watching this. I'm going to use some of the moves that he taught me in my next match. 

The next fight is against the vine girl and lida. Then it's mine against Tokoyami.
