The next morning I was back to the same routine. I had to do ten miles again today, but this time I had weights and they were a hundred pounds. The brunette haired pussycat, who later learned was named Mandalay, gave me a weird creme that helped my burns. Now they were just red splotches.
The group that failed the finals had to extra lessons with Mr. Aizawa. They all seemed like they hated it. Even Mr. Aizawa.
I overheard a conversation going on between Midoriya and Mr. Aizawa when I got back.
"Are the other teachers coming here?" Midoriya asked.
"As I said before at the training camp, in order to keep the villains from finding out where we were," Mr. Aizawa said. "we kept the numbers of people to the absolute minimum."
"That's why you got a training camp with the four of us!" The green-haired pussycat said. She's new...maybe she was with Class B?
"And especially since we believe that All Might is one of the targets and that some students have been getting targeted." Aizawa continued. "We don't want to have all the targets in one place."
Right. I'm the target. This sucks. If the villains do come here. Do you know who is going to get blamed? Me. Ugh, I wish things we different. At this point and time, I'm scared for mine and my friends and family's lives as well. I don't want to be the reason that people get hurt.
"More importantly! everyone tonight..." The blonde-haired pussycat said. "We'll have a test of courage with the classes pitted against each other!"
I continued practicing with the dummy and the doll. I managed to, at some point, not burn the doll, but I got too excited and after that, I couldn't do it again. Mandalay also came over to ask me about my Quirk. I told her what it was and she asked about the side effects.
"Well, I mean, I get lots of burns and I can pass out from heat exhaustion and taking out my scales and wings is kind of uncomfortable," I explained.
"Can your scales come out of your legs?" She asks.
"Um, well they can, but you don't want that to happen," I said. "Because of my Quirk, I also inherit dragon-like behaviors."
"Dragon-like behaviors?"
"Yeah, like my eyes turn all black and fangs start coming out of my mouth. My legs start getting scales and when this happens, I'm basically," I think for a second. "I'm basically, in a theatre watching everything that is happening and there is nothing I can do to stop it."
"Wait so what happens?"
I look down at my feet. "I start to become very violent towards the people around me, regardless of who they are, and I have this overwhelming urge to um..."
"It's okay, I won't judge." She says, putting a comforting hand on my shoulder.
"I-I have this overwhelming urge to, um, k-kill and ea-eat people." I shudder at the thought of what I almost did back when I was younger. I can hear her breath hitch and I look up from my feet and at her.
"I-is there any way we can stop it?"
"Knock me out," I explained. "Mr. Aizawa has a bottle of chloroform and anesthesia with him whenever I'm around and I always have a bottle of anesthesia and needle on me."
"That's good." She says while looking at me. "You should try getting that under control, it would make a great hero quirk for fighting."
I look towards the dummy and the doll's charred bodies. "Yeah, but it only works when I'm really angry and stressed. But thank you."
