Mr. Aizawa made us wake up at 5:30 a.m this morning. Which was too early for me. Usually, I wake up around seven but man, five-thirty is too much. I think everyone else agreed with me. Ochaco had the worst case of bed head that I've ever seen.
Mr. Aizawa told us to meet him in an area that is near the building. It was a cleared area in the middle of the forest. When we got out there he started instructing us on today's activities. "Today, we will begin training camp to increase your strength in earnest." He said. "The goal of the training camp is to increase everyone's strength and with that, for everyone to obtain their provisional licenses. It is to prepare you all to face hostilities that are becoming more real by the minute."
I sighed at this. I still wasn't sure what I was going to do about the whole villain thing.
"Proceed carefully. So Bakugo," He throws the softball that we used for the fitness test at the beginning of the year, at Katsuki. "try throwing that."
"This is from the fitness test..." Katsuki says.
"Your previous record, from right after we started school, was 705.2 meters." Mr. Aizawa says. "Let's see how much you've improved."
Katsuki goes up in front of where our class gathered. "GO TO HELL!" He screams. He swings his arm back and then blasts off the ball. The ball shoots up into the sky and starts heading back towards the ground ways in front of where we are.
"709.6" Mr. Aizawa announces. "As you can see, your Quirks themselves have not improved much. That's why we will be working on improving your Quirks, starting today." He gives us a menacing smile and points his finger at us. "It'll be so hard that you'll want to die...try not to die."
Aizawa told me that I need to get my fire quirk to last longer while I use big explosions. He noticed the burns that I get when I use it for big things. He also wants me to be able to fly at faster speeds for longer periods of time. By the end of this training camp, Mr. Aizawa wants me to be able to go ninety mph (144kph) for an hour straight. Which I think is going to be the death of me.
Mr. Aizawa also says that he doesn't want to see me with any broken bones. Apparently, Recovery Girl has had enough of Midoriya and I. I don't even go there that much!
Right now, I was on my fifth mile. I had to do five more and then I'm done for the day. I was flying over the forest, taking in the scenery. It was a nice place. I was more looking for villains. This whole thing, taking us out in the middle of nowhere after we have been attacked by villains multiple times, just seems like a bad idea. I couldn't sleep most of last night because of how scared I was.
It probably won't happen, but you can never be sure.
I started heading back towards the rest of the group. I started my descent and landing right near Katsuki. He was practicing his big explosions while also dipping his hands in boiling hot water. Mr. Aizawa told me to go towards a dummy. The dummy had a doll strapped to the front of it.
"I want you to hit the dummy and leave the doll unscarred." He said his usual monotone voice. He was holding a hose with him that was connected to a water tank.
"You want me to not hit the doll?"
"Yes."
"Okey Dokie." I looked towards the dummy and imagine the space around and how I could attack it from the outside. I make an 'o' shape with my arms so that it'll attack from the sides. I then sent trickles of white flames from my palms. They ignited the dummy's feet and trailed up its body. The dummy ignited into flames and so did the doll.
I sighed and grabbed the hose and turned it on. I turned it on too fast though and the force of the water threw me a couple of feet backward.
"Holy shit!" I scream as I land on my ass. The hose was now getting water everywhere. A lot of students stopped what they were doing. I ran over to the nob and turned it off. I looked over to see Mr. Aizawa's disappointed face. "We're all good!" I shout towards and gave him a thumbs up.
After that, I tried for another couple of hours and I still hadn't managed to get it right. The doll and the dummy were both replaced multiple times after the ones before it was burnt to cinders. My wrists were stinging from the burns that were now appearing on them. This time they were bloody blisters. One of the pussycats got some aloe for me and wrapped my arms.
Aizawa then made me practice flying again but with weights. He said that my quirk is great for rescuing if I just practice with it. We started off with eighty-pound weights and started gradually going up. I had to fly them from the bottom of the mountain to the top and vice versa.
By the end of the day, I couldn't move my back too much and my arms were sore as fuck. The bandages on my arms rubbing against my burns so I had to take them off. The only problem was, that they hurt so bad that when the wind grazed my arms, the pain would shoot up them.
I got lots of sympathetic looks from my other classmates.
We got back to the building. Today was the day that we would be making our own stuff. Iida started directing us on what to do. Todoroki and I set off to go and start fires. I had to use my elbows and breathe for most of it.
"Bakugo, use your explosions to light this," Sero said.
"Like I would, scum!" Katsuki shouted blasting an explosion into one of the fire pits. No fire started and instead, Katsuki melted the fire pit.
"If you only rely on others, then you will not learn how to light a fire," Momo shouted at us.
Katsuki and I both rolled our eyes as she took out a lighter to light the fire. Everyone finished making the curry and we all sat down. I sat at the end of the table, next to Katsuki. I had to use a fork because my fingers and wrist were too injured to use chopsticks.
The curry was okay, I could make better. But I was starving and so was everyone else so we all shoveled the food into our mouths.
"How are your wrists?" Katsuki asks.
"They still hurt really bad, but they are getting better," I reply while finishing up my food.
"That's good, I saw you flying. Looked pretty cool."
"Thanks, I saw you getting angrier and angrier every time you blasted one of the huge explosions."
"Whatever, 'Miss-I-burnt-three-different-sets-of-dummies-and-dolls-today. I watched you get angrier too." He said while nudging my shoulder.
"It seems like you were watching me more than you were doing your training, stalker." I give him a small smirk before nudging his shoulder back harder this time.
"I can't help it and stop nudging me" He nudged my shoulder really hard this time.
"You nudged me first!" I nudged back so that had to scoot himself over a little bit.
"If you guys keep flirting I'm gonna nudge both of you off of a cliff!" Kaminari said from across from us.
"Yeah! Get a room!" Ashido shouted from down the table. I stuck up my middle finger at her.
After we all finished dinner and cleaned up, the girls went and bathed and got ready for bed. The boys, I'm guessing, did the same. Once my head hit the sleeping bag, I was out. I was no longer paranoid about the villains coming to camp. The thought had escaped my mind, for the time being.
