"Mochi?"

"Hyung!"

As soon as Jimin saw his brother, he ran towards him, his face lighting up with pure joy. In a heartbeat, he leaped into Jungkook's arms, wrapping his legs around his brother's waist like a koala clinging to a tree. Jungkook, laughing, held him tight, his hands steadying Jimin’s back. He had only recently moved to Seoul to open his photography shop, which he now managed personally. Their parents had gone back to the US for some business, but they had promised to return soon to live with their two sons.

Jimin nestled his head against Jungkook's shoulder, squeezing him even tighter. "I love hugging you," he mumbled, his voice muffled but full of affection.

Jungkook chuckled, feeling the warmth of his brother’s embrace. "Me too. But Mochi, why didn’t you tell me you were coming? I would've picked you up!"

"It’s a surprise for you, hyung! Don’t you miss me?" Jimin asked, pulling back slightly to look at his brother’s face with an expectant pout.

"Of course I miss you," Jungkook replied without hesitation. He grinned as he spun around, still holding Jimin securely in his arms. Jimin giggled in delight, wrapping his arms tighter around Jungkook's neck, like a child who never wanted to let go.

"Hyung, I really wanna go to the arcade! Can you take me?" Jimin's eyes sparkled with excitement, his voice filled with the eagerness of a child ready for adventure.

"Hmmm…" Jungkook pretended to think, his tone teasing. "I think I’m busy today."

"Kookie hyung!" Jimin playfully swatted his brother’s arm, knowing full well that Jungkook was only messing with him. He knew his brother would never refuse him.

"When do you want to go?" Jungkook asked, his voice light with amusement.

"Now! Right now!" Jimin exclaimed, tightening his hold on his brother, making it clear he had no intention of letting go.

"Now? Like this?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow, gesturing at Jimin still clinging to him like a koala.

"Yes, like this," Jimin confirmed with a mischievous grin. He held on tighter, wrapping his arms and legs more securely around Jungkook’s body, refusing to be put down. Being in his brother’s arms was his favorite place. He felt safe, comfortable, and completely at ease.

The arcade was buzzing with lights and sounds, but all Jimin could focus on was Jungkook, who was currently jumping around, engrossed in a dance game

The arcade was buzzing with lights and sounds, but all Jimin could focus on was Jungkook, who was currently jumping around, engrossed in a dance game. Jimin couldn’t help but laugh every time Jungkook struck a dramatic pose or furrowed his brows in concentration, determined to win.

"I win!" Jungkook shouted triumphantly, turning to Jimin with a grin as the screen flashed in victory.

Jimin clapped his hands, still laughing. "Waaa, hyung, you’re amazing!"

Jungkook smirked, basking in the praise, which only made Jimin giggle more. Jungkook had always been the talented one—whether it was sports, music, or now this silly arcade game, he excelled at everything. Jimin admired him, not just as a brother but as someone to look up to.

"I know," Jungkook said with mock arrogance, ruffling Jimin’s hair. "But you’re the one who wanted to come here, and yet you’ve just been watching me the whole time."

"I love watching you play," Jimin replied, his eyes soft with admiration. "You’re great at everything. If I play, I’ll definitely lose!"

Jimin pouted, feigning frustration, though deep down he didn’t mind losing to Jungkook. His brother always made sure to let him win when it mattered, but for now, he was content just to watch Jungkook have fun.

"There’s nothing to lose. Besides, seeing you happy makes me happy," Jungkook said, his voice gentle, ruffling Jimin’s hair again. That was the truth—nothing brought him more joy than seeing his little brother’s smile.

Later, as they sat down for lunch at a small café, the playful energy between them hadn’t faded

Later, as they sat down for lunch at a small café, the playful energy between them hadn’t faded. But then Jungkook’s tone shifted slightly, becoming more serious as he looked across the table at Jimin.

"Resign from your job," Jungkook said suddenly, catching Jimin off guard.

Jimin blinked, surprised. "I can’t," he replied hesitantly. "I need my job."

"Then work with me," Jungkook said, his expression softening, though his eyes were serious.

"Work with you? In photography?" Jimin asked, slightly taken aback. The idea hadn’t crossed his mind before.

"Yeah. You can be my assistant," Jungkook said with a grin, playfully tapping Jimin’s nose. "It’ll be fun. We’ll be together all the time, and I’ll teach you everything."

Jimin felt his cheeks heat up under Jungkook’s touch, his heart swelling at the thought of working alongside his brother. He had always admired Jungkook’s talent, and the idea of being part of his world—of being there to support him every step of the way—filled him with excitement.

"Okay, hyung," Jimin said softly, nodding shyly. "I’d love that."

Jungkook smiled, his eyes warm and full of affection. "Great. Then it’s settled. My Mochi, my assistant."

Jimin blushed even deeper, but his heart felt lighter than ever. Working with Jungkook felt like the right step. As long as they were together, everything would be okay.
