As soon as Yumi and Mingyu left the office, Jimin's chest felt heavy. He needed to talk to someone—someone who could calm the storm inside him. Without thinking, he dialed Jungkook’s number. His heart pounded as he waited for his brother to pick up.

Jimin / Jungkook

Jimin: Kookie hyung...

Jungkook: Hi baby. Why are you calling? Miss me?

Jimin: Yeah, I miss you...

Jungkook: Okay, what happened? Tell me.

Jimin: Nothing... I just miss you.

Jungkook: Jeon Jimin, I know you. Your voice is telling me something happened. Tell me.

Jimin: …

Jungkook: Mochi, did dad come by?

Jimin: No…

Jungkook: Are you sick? Fever? Stomachache?

Jimin: Hyung... do you—do you love me?

Jungkook: I love you, baby. I do love you, Mochi.

Jimin: I... Yumi noona...

Jungkook: What about her?

Jimin: She came...

Jungkook: What? Did she do something to you? I swear if—

Jimin: No, she just talked…

Jungkook: I’m on my way.

Jimin: Hyung, n—

Before Jimin could say anything else, Jungkook had already hung up.

“Stupid Jimin! Why did you tell him that?” he muttered to himself, frustrated. He knew Jungkook would worry, and now he felt guilty for bringing it up. His brother had enough on his plate without having to rush back because of him. But it was too late.

Forty-five minutes later, the door to the office swung open, and Jimin barely had time to react before Jungkook's voice echoed through the room.

"Mochi!"

Jimin ran towards him, relief flooding his chest as soon as Jungkook stood before him. All the tension, all the worry seemed to melt away the moment he was in his brother’s arms. Jungkook pulled him into a tight embrace, sensing the unease still lingering in Jimin’s heart.

“Don’t listen to her,” Jungkook whispered softly, stroking Jimin’s back. “Whatever she said, don’t think about it. You just need to believe me. Trust me.”

“Kookie hyung... I’m okay,” Jimin replied, trying to sound convincing.

“You’re not okay. Baby, I know when something’s wrong.”

“You’re here. So now I’m okay,” Jimin said, nuzzling into Jungkook’s chest, finding comfort in the warmth of his embrace.

They stood there, wrapped in each other’s arms, the rest of the world fading away. This was their safe space—together, nothing else mattered. Hugging Jungkook always made Jimin feel like everything would be alright. He knew his brother would always be by his side, that his love was unwavering. No one else’s words could shake that.

“I’m sorry if I made you worry,” Jimin said quietly, feeling guilty again.

“My Mochi always makes me worry,” Jungkook teased lightly, pulling back just enough to look at him. “And for that, I think I deserve a little something.”

Jimin frowned. “Your what?”

“My gift.”

Jungkook’s playful smirk confused Jimin. Sometimes he couldn’t understand his brother’s odd requests. Jungkook could be so weird sometimes, but in an endearing way. It always amused Jimin how Jungkook seemed to know everything about him—what he wanted, what he was thinking, even what he was feeling. But there was still one thing Jungkook didn’t know, and that was the pain Jimin had been hiding.

“What do you mean, Kookie hyung?”

Jungkook put on a pout, tapping his lips. “Do you know how worried I was? I drove here so fast, a thousand thoughts racing through my head. My heart was about to explode! So… kiss me.”

Jimin laughed despite himself. “You really do love me.”

“How dare you doubt my love for you, Jeon Jimin!” Jungkook exclaimed dramatically.

Jimin couldn’t help but smile, feeling lighter. He hugged Jungkook again, this time squeezing him tighter, the warmth of his brother’s presence soothing his nerves.

“God, what’s gotten into you?” Jungkook chuckled, his hands moving up to cup Jimin’s face. He could see the love in his Mochi’s eyes, clear as day. It was written in the way Jimin looked at him, in the way he clung to him as though nothing else in the world mattered.

“I love you, hyung,” Jimin whispered, his voice filled with sincerity.

Jungkook smiled softly. “I know that, Mochi. I’ve never doubted your love. And don’t you ever doubt mine.”

Jungkook leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Jimin’s lips, as if sealing that promise. He didn’t know exactly what Yumi had said to make Jimin question their relationship, but he knew they needed to talk about it. And soon.

For now, though, all that mattered was that they were together, wrapped in each other’s love, unshaken by the world outside.
