REMEMBER ME

REMEMBER: Chapter 2

I woke up in a dreamy state this morning. I couldn't make up my mind last night. Kung tutuusin ay hindi ko naman dapat prinoproblema iyon ngunit hindi talaga sapat ang part-time job ko ngayon. Doing multiple jobs are also hectic to my schedule and it wouldn't still be guaranteed enough for the next years to come.

I'm still unsure with the project either. I don't want to burden myself with such responsibility. Masyado na yatang mabigat ang lahat ng bagay.

Maybe I should cool myself today. Yeah, I should do that.

Dumaan muna ako sa coffee shop sa harapan lang ng university namin. I kinda like the aroma and taste of the coffee here. It's soothing and very relaxing.

I sat on the couch that is far from most of the people. I just don't like the sound of their voices and whispers. Lalo na kapag naghahalo ang mga ito sa pandinig ko. While I was waiting, I saw the dean entered the cafe with the management officers. There were noises around but I can hear their voices clearly because they chose the table beside mine.

"Mr. Redo, the president already prepared the documents. In case the virus will enter the country anytime from now, we must have already began the process."

They were whispering but not low enough to my ear. They're really serious about this whole kind of thing.

"We're waiting for responses from the persons that will create the team. They were already informed and it's up for them to decide. We aren't going to do any harm. In fact, we're trying to save the country."

Tumango tango naman sila. How is that not doing any harm if they're going to make human as test subjects?

"We are lacking of test subjects. They're rare. Though they could be here in our country, we might find them inside the woods."

My mind was more puzzled. Did he say woods? Are the test subjects that rare kind of human?

"The origin of the virus is that rare snake. We need to find at least one so we can complete the whole formula. They will serve as our test subjects too."

What?

Mabuti na lamang at dumating na yung order ko kaya kinuha ko iyon pagkatapos magbayad.

I was the one assuming things, goodness. I jumped over the conclusion that there will be test subjects but I didn't know it wasn't human after all.

Just as I arrived at the university, I immediately went to the section of the president.

I'm not very familiar with their building because every track or strand got themselves a building only for them so I asked the first possible person that I saw just reaching for the doorknob of her room.

"Uhmm, excuse me."

I got her attention politely. She looked at me warmly and smiled. She looks too innocent or maybe she got her self fabricated with another sheet. Nevermind though that's not my concern right now.

"Yes? How may I help you?"

I smiled back at her. Ngunit may halong pagkapeke yung akin. Malay ko ba kung nagbabalat-kayo rin ito at may tinatago ring masamang budhi.

"Do you know where I could find Ms. Heri Gascon, the president of SC?"

Just as I mentioned her name, her angelic face dropped and it turned into a very sharp dagger in her eyes.

Tumaas lang ang kilay niya sa naging tanong ko at biglang naglaho ang kanyang matamis na ngiti. Aha! Sabi ko na eh, tigre!

"Ah! That flirt? She's on the third floor. Wala lang din namang kwenta ang babaeng iyon sa paglutas ng problema at pagsuggest ng mas makabubuti, puro pagmamaktol lang ang alam dahil nga spoiled. You wouldn't want yourself to get involved in a wrong sort. Tss."
