REMEMBER ME

REMEMBER: Chapter 3

I had my things done.

I actually packed my things last night because I was having a mental battle, I mean, thinking if I should tell my mom about this project or not. But I didn't have any choice so I told her eventually.

At first, I thought she would protest but she immediately understood and she even said that she's proud of me for reaching this far. Ang sabi ko naman sa kaniya, Be proud of me if I already accomplished something.

I haven't started anything yet and she's already proud, what more if I've done something better? Hayss ewan ko na lang kung hindi magawa gawa itong medicine na kailangan. But of course, they won't let that happen.

Alam na rin ni Tyra na aalis muna ako at hindi muna uuwi gaya ng nakagawian. I didn't tell her anything and I told mom to not tell her a thing since she might put too much thought about it. Ngayong umaga ay aalis na ako patungo sa university. Nakaligo na rin ako at nakapagpalit na ng damit. Mom and Tyra just woke up.

"Kumain ka muna bago ka umalis, Tera. Mamimiss mo yung mga luto ko sige ka." Usal ni mom sakin. I laughed.

"Hindi naman ako aalis ng hindi magpapaalam. Of course, I will miss your dishes, mom. Kahit saan pa ako magpunta na wala ka."

Nagtawanan pa kaming dalawa habang si Tyra ay kinukusot pa yung mata niya.

"You're really leaving,ate? I thought you were just joking yesterday."

And yes, english speaking itong kapatid ko. Slang pa nga kung magtagalog. She doesn't speak tagalog in her school because her classmates would laugh at her accent.

"No, I'm not. This might take a while but I promise I'll be back."

Pinantayan ko siya ng upo upang magtama ang aming mga mata. Hazel eyes. She has my mom's eyes while I have my dad's darker eyes.

"Be a good girl while I'm not around, hmm? Pagbalik ko hindi kita bibigyan ng token."

Mom laughed at me when I said that.

"Inispoil mo kasi eh." Sabi niya. Natawa rin naman ako at saka nagpaalam na pagkatapos kong kumain at magtoothbrush.

"Huwag kang magpapabaya ha!" Huling bilin ni mom bago ako nawala sa paningin niya.

Heri texted me to go first in the meeting place and just wait for my other co-student/team there. Kaya't una na akong pumunta.

It's still dark but since it's just a walking distance and it's just a matter of almost 10-meter distance from our house to the university, I'm sure I'll be the one arriving first.

Usually kasi ay 6:15 am dumarating yung mga early birds sa school kaya't mas mabuting 5 kami magkikita para iwas sa mata ng nakararami.

When I arrived in front of the R.O., I immediately sat on the bench outside. It's cold. The wind is brushing through my skin.

Ilang sandali lang ay natanaw ko ang isang service bus. I stood to make sure that it is the part-of-the-team's service. Nakita ko namang bumaba rito ang isang babae at tatlong lalake. Napamaang ako ng ibaba nila ang mga luggage nila. I'm right, they are part of team.

Unang nakita ko ay yung babae. She seems cheerful. Yung tipong masayahin at mapang-asar na estudyante pero medyo may kaseryosohan. I can't fully describe, but her presence is like that.

My hair is up to my chest level in length while hers is just two inches shorter than mine. I'm also pretty sure that we're just about the same height.

I also noticed that she likes pastel colors which is obvious from the color of her dress, bag, travel pillow to her luggage. Lahat puro pastel ang kulay.
