Chapter Seven

[LANCASTER]

I crossed my arms nang marinig ko ang pagbukas ng gate, which means nakarating na si Kenneth na siyang nagsundo kay Andrea. Tumaas naman ang kilay ko when Andrea stepped inside.

"You know what time is it?" I asked, she pursed her lips and looked at her wristwatch.

"It's 7:00 pm." She said quietly.

"At anong oras ang end ng class?" I asked again.

"5:00 pm." She answered.

"Bakit ngayon ka lang?"

"Uhm...ano kasi..." She said and play the hem of her blouse. "Si Kathy kasi.."

"Sir." Tumingin naman ako kay Kenneth na kakapasok lang.

"Andrea go to your room." Utos ko at kaagad naman na sumunod siya. Kenneth put down her bag to the sofa. "What happened?" I asked.

"Pagdating ko sa school nila wala na siya doon so I tracked her down and I found out na kasama niya si Kathy Saavedra and Kellan De Guzman sa isang mini-cafe malapit sa school." He reported.

"Those two person, mapagkakatiwalaan ba sila?"

"I checked their backgrounds and asked Andrea, she told me na kasama niya sa club si Kathy samantala kaklase naman niya si Kellan."

I nodded at that information, atleast may kaibigan na siya and she won't feeling alone. Now I feel bad sa pagsusungit ko sa kanya kanina.

"You may go, thank you for picking her up." I said at saka kinuha ang bag ni Andrea at umakyat papunta sa kwarto ni Andrea. Kumatok naman ako at mayamaya lang ay bumukas ito.

"Bakit?" She asked quietly.

"Here." I said at saka ibinigay ang bag sa kanya, ngayon ko lang napansin na naka-tuwalya ito at basang-basa pa ang buhok. "Uhm...I'll cook dinner, bumaba ka pag nakapag-bihis ka na" Mabilis na sabi ko bago umalis.

Her skin is smooth I can tell by just looking at it.

And I don't know why it turns me on.

Fuck this.

Inilapag ko naman sa lamesa ang plato at sakto namang pumasok si Andrea, she is now wearing a dress but I think that dress is for kids.

"Kain ka na." I muttered then I walked towards the door that is separating the kitchen and the living room.

"Hindi ka kakain?" She asked.

"I'm full." I answered and I looked at her over my shoulder. "Pagkatapos mo diyan gawin mo na ang mga assignments mo." Pagpapaalala ko bago ko siya tuluyang iniwan doon.

I think I need to clear my mind first before going back to work.

Bahagyang napakunot naman ang noo ko nang makapasok ako sa front door ng bahay. It's because Andrea is in the living room and doing her assignments.

Usually laging sa kwarto niya ito ginagawa.

I glanced at the tattered stuffed toy that is sitting on the sofa, she calls it Mr. Sprinkles at nasa kanya na iyon since bata pa siya kaya hindi niya maitapon hanggang ngayon.

Nag-angat naman siya ng tingin and I saw the emotion in her eyes changed.

Tahimik naman na inilapag ang paperbag na dala ko sa coffee table malapit sa kanya, naglalaman iyon ng paborito niyang shawarma.

"Eat that, I'm sure you are hungry." I said at saka naupo sa single sofa na nandoon.

"Thank you." She said at saka binuksan ang paperbag at kumuha ng isang shawarma doon.

Tahimik na kinuha ko naman ang libro na nakabukas at binasa iyon, she's doing a chemical balancing at iyon ang pinakamadaling bagay na natutunan ko sa science.

Hindi naman sa nagyayabang ako pero parang ganun na nga.

"Aster?" She called and I hummed in response. "Galit ka ba?" She asked and I took a deep breath when she used her child-like voice.

"I'm not." I said at saka ibinaba ang libro na hawak ko at tumingin sa kanya. "I'm just upset because you didn't keep your promise na lagi kang magpaalam kung saan ka pupunta. Anything could've happened to you Andrea." I explained trying not to raise my voice on her.

"But, they are my friends Aster."

"Kahit na, Andrea." I said. "Please don't do that again okay? kung hindi mo ako ma-contact Kenneth is always on the line to answer that."

Her lips quivered and tears started to form in her eyes, my eyes widened when she started to cry.

Oh my God, not again.

"H-hey.." I said trying to comfort her.

"I-I'm so sorry..." She said in between her sobs. "I-I will never do that again." She added.

Niyakap ko naman siya and rubbed her back while she is crying.

This is the reason kaya ayoko siyang pinapagalitan because she will cry at mahirap itong patahanin.

But surprisingly, she calmed down after a few minutes. I wiped the stray tears on her cheek at saka iniharap siya sa akin.

"Promise me na hindi mo na ako susuwayin." I said and raised my pinky finger.

"Promise." She said and wrapped her pinky on mine. I smiled at her before kissing her forehead.

"Do your assignment, I'll watch." Utos ko at kaagad naman na sumunod ito.

Lumipas ang ilang oras at natapos niya din iyon kaya ngayon, we are watching beauty and beast which is her favorite disney movie.

And yes, I already watched it with her for how many times.

Kabisado ko na nga yung theme song eh.

Bigla namang bumalik sa isip ko ang usapan namin ni Spade noong nililigawan niya pa lang si Amethyst.

"You know Lan, when you like or worst love someone. Kahit yung pinaka-ayaw mong gawin gagawin at gagawin mo yan para maka-goodshot ka lang."

Right.

He is right.

I glanced at Andrea while she is watching the movie.

"Tired?" I asked, she looked up on me.

Napahinto naman ako ng ma-realize na sobrang lapit pala namin sa isa't-isa, I forgot that she is leaning on me.

"Aster..." She whispered.

I clenched my jaw and grabbed her chin before kissing her lips, I heard her gasp when I lightly bit her lips.

She pushed me lightly that's why I separated myself on her, I looked at her and she got a shock expression in her face.

Of course Lancaster she will be shocked by what you did.

Her mouth hung open and later on, she hurriedly picked up her stuffed toy and ran towards the stairs into her room.

I let out a sigh at napahilamos naman ako sa mukha gamit ang kamay ko.

Wrong move Lancaster, wrong move.
