~ We Meet Again ~

A few days have passed since I've last seen Wyatt and I would be lying if I said I haven't thought about him.

I know it sounds crazy but it's the truth. I couldn't neglect the feeling that even though there was something mysterious about Wyatt, there was also an undeniable attraction towards him too.

I decided I should probably get out of bed and start getting ready for work. I can't wait until I graduate in a semester so that I can finally work for my dream job instead of the coffee shop. It's probably best I stop rushing my summer away and get dressed for work.

I took a shower and got dressed in my uniform. I made my usual coffee and breakfast. It's kind of bizarre that I love coffee so much but I detest working at a coffee shop.

I ate my breakfast and left to go to work. Again, I debated if I should call in sick but I realized I needed the money anyway.

The new girl has gotten the hang of things so it's been nice not having to show somebody the ropes all shift and just focus on doing my job.

The coffee shop opened thirty minutes ago and it was already crammed with customers but hey, it makes the day go by quicker.

"Hey Davina, do you think that you could take lunch an hour later than usual? I need you during the rush," my boss Mr. Cooper said coming from the back.

"Yes, that's fine."

....

The usual rush came and I'm glad Mr. Cooper asked me to help because I wouldn't want the new girl to feel stressed out and overwhelmed with taking so many orders at once. I had to work the rush when I was a new hire and let me just say, saying I was stressed is an understatement.

"Davina, could you teach me how to put this order into the register again?" Lindsey the new girl asked.

I smiled and walked over to the register to quickly show her how to do it and went back to making the drinks.

Once we got everybody's drink orders made, it was almost time for my lunch break. While I waited until it was time, I talked to Lindsey and answered any questions she had. She really was a sweet girl. She told me that this was her first job so she wants to make sure that she is understanding everything perfectly.

Finally, it was time for lunch and Mr. Cooper came out to relieve me so that I could go to lunch and he would stay back to help Lindsey.

My lunch break consisted of eating my food, playing on my phone, Alex and I texting how much we should drop out and move to Vegas to work at a strip club, then changing our minds about the awful idea. Minutes later my break ended and it was time to return back to work.

Lindsey left to go on her lunch break and Mr. Cooper disappeared back into his office doing who knows what.

I didn't mind being up here by myself because the coffee shop isn't really that busy at this time so I can handle the few orders we do get.

I noticed we were running low on cups so I quickly went to the back to get a box to restock the cups.

I came back with the fresh box of cups and placed it on the ground to restock. I knelt down to stock the shelf of cups when I heard the bell of the front door ring which signals somebody just entered the coffee shop.

"I'll be with you in a second," I said to the unknown person.

I closed up the cardboard box so I could finish restocking later. I got up from the ground to acknowledge the person waiting to order. The person standing on the opposite side of the counter had their hands placed on top of the counter and I instantly noticed the tattoos that covered the large hands.

No, he can't be here at my work I thought to myself but the further I moved my eyes up, the more I realized that it indeed was Wyatt standing in front of me.

I finally made eye contact with him and felt the familiar intensity of the gaze as his eyes peered into mine.

"Davina, we meet again," he said with a smirk playing on his lips.

"Hi, what can I help you with today?" I asked while trying not to make it known that I may or may not be ready to hyperventilate about seeing him again.

"I'm still deciding. What would you recommend?" Wyatt asked while glancing up to aimlessly look over the menu.

"The espresso americano is my favorite when I want hot coffee, but if I'm in the mood for an iced drink I usually get the iced caramel macchiato," I replied trying to keep my cool.

"What about when you're not in the mood for coffee?" He asked me.

"We do have other drinks here that aren't coffee if that's something you might be interested in?"

"I'm interested in something else right now but that would defeat the purpose of me coming here," he smirked tilting his head back slightly.

"So what is it that you want?" I asked confused as to why you would come to a coffee shop if you're not interested in ordering a coffee.

He slowly stuck out his tongue to wet his perfect lips which caused my legs to go weak. I had to place my hands on the counter to hold myself up before I fell right here and made a fool out of myself yet again.

"Surprise me, beautiful," was all he said before stepping back to let me get to work on his drink.

I had to force myself to move or else I would have stood there still staring in awe at this man.

I decided to make him an iced cold brew since it was a warm day outside and I figured nobody would want to drink hot coffee on a warm day.

As I was making his coffee, I could tell Wyatt was watching my every move.

I finished making his coffee and I placed his drink on the counter in front of him.

"A large iced cold brew with almond milk is what I made you," I said hoping he would like the drink.

"You also made me a little restless the other night," he smirked grabbing the drink in his hand making the large cup look like a small.

I peered into his eyes dumbfounded by his remark as I bit my lower lip trying to focus while typing in his order and failing to conceal my blushing cheeks.

"It's going to be seven dollars and seventy-eight cents," I said while waiting for him to pay.

He took out his wallet and handed me a twenty-dollar bill. I cashed out his order and went to hand him back his change when he shook his head denying the money.

"Don't you want your change back?" I questioned him.

"No, keep it," was all he said before slowly turning to walk out the door.

I placed the money in the tip jar since it was a nice gesture and the money should be split between all the workers.

"Oh and Davina, don't bite your lip. I can hardly resist myself watching you do that," and with that comment, he turned and walked out of the store.

I stood in place completely shocked and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

Lindsey walked back upfront tying her apron around her waist as she walked up to me.

"So what did I miss?" Lindsey asked once she reached my side.

"Not a thing," were the only words I could force myself to say.
