~ Goodbye for Now ~
Staring out into the distance, I took in the engaging view one last time before it was time to leave. I had my arms draped over the balcony railing as the crisp breeze whisked past me.
I could hear the soft sound of footsteps approaching from behind me before the person wrapped their arms around my waist pulling my body closer to their chest.
The subtle smell of Wyatt's cologne filled the air and I smiled leaning my body closer into his warm embrace.
"I'm going to miss this view," I quietly said as he rested his cheek against the side of my head.
"Maybe I'll take you back here someday," he replied nuzzling my head.
"I'll also miss the boys yelling in the kitchen while the food in the oven burns," I laughed remembering the number of times I had to pick at my food to avoid the burnt crisps.
"At least you'll be eating better than me," Wyatt replied playfully.
I sighed and turned around in his grasp to face him.
"I'm going to miss you most of all," I spoke lacing my arms around his neck.
"You and me both. It's going to be hell not having you here," he said placing his hand on my lower back.
"I could always stay," I grinned.
Wyatt chuckled at my remark but remained quiet. He placed his fingers under my chin and guided my head towards his. His lips meshed with mine in a gentle kiss that I wish could last forever. His hand on my back pressed my body firmly into his and I melted into his embrace. His lips smoothly glided over mine as I trailed my hand down his chest wishing I didn't have to leave.
He pulled back slightly and pressed a longing kiss on my forehead before looking down at me.
"The car is out front to take you to the airport," he said brushing a few strands of hair off my face.
"Are you coming with me?" I asked wanting to spend every last minute with him before I got on the dreadful plane.
"Of course," he said slighting smiling.
I intertwined my fingers into his as we walked back towards the house. The living room was filled with chatter but it quickly died down when we appeared into the room.
"I'm sad to see you go but I know it's the best thing for you," Cole said as he made his way towards us.
"I wish I didn't have to go but I understand why I need to," I replied welcoming Cole into a friendly hug.
"Take care of Wyatt while I'm gone," I whispered to Cole as we pulled away.
Cole nodded his head and stepped to the side as the rest of the guys stood up to say their goodbyes.
"It was nice to meet you," Wren said giving me a side hug before moving away.
"I'll try to keep Wyatt out of trouble," Maddox smiled as he placed his hand on my shoulder giving it a gentle squeeze.
I finished saying goodbye to everybody and grabbed the small bag I packed to bring with me on the plane since my luggage would be stored away.
"I'm glad you all have each other," I said placing one of the straps over my shoulder.
"Take care of one another and please be safe," I continued giving a final wave before Wyatt guided me towards the door.
There was a black SUV parked in front of the house and the driver informed me that my luggage was packed away inside.
