~Doing What's Right ~
The morning sun beamed into the room as the harsh rays of lighting pulled me from my sleep.
I rolled over in the bed to avoid the light and I felt the body lying next to me slighting stir in the bed.
Wyatt was still fast asleep wit his hair was tousled against the pillow. I pushed a few of the loose strands away from his face as my knuckles gently brushed against his prominent cheekbones.
I sparsely left a trail of kisses across his shoulder before pulling myself out of bed and making my way towards the bathroom.
I retrieved my hair tie off the marble countertop before tying my hair into a high messy bun. I smiled at my reflection in the mirror as I recalled the events that occurred last night. Being so intimate with Wyatt was a feeling so enigmatic making the memories unforgettable.
Once I finished in the bathroom, I made my way back into the bedroom to find Wyatt tangled in the sheets still asleep.
Not wanting to wake him, I quietly pried the door open and closing it soundlessly behind me. I walked down the dark hallway towards the kitchen and I was grateful to see nobody else in the living room or the kitchen.
I grabbed the empty coffee pot and brought it over to the sink to fill it with water. I emptied the water into the coffee maker and dropped a few scoops of the coffee grounds into the pot before turning it on. I heard the quiet hum as the coffee maker started to warm before the delicious smell permeated the kitchen.
I grabbed two coffee mugs out of the cabinet as well as the creamer out of the refrigerator. I leaned against the counter waiting for the coffee to finish brewing as I was lost deep in thought. The distant sound of beeping pulled me back to reality and I realized the coffee was finished. I poured the dark steaming liquid into the two mugs before adding the sugar and creamer.
The muffins resting in the glass container on the counter caught my attention and I retrieved two plates before collecting the muffins out of the container.
"You're up early," I heard a rough voice still laced with sleep say from behind me.
I turned around to see Wyatt standing in the entryway of the kitchen as he leaned against the wall. His shorts hung low against his hips inviting my eyes to trail down to the sharp v line that disappeared into the waistband of the shorts.
I bit my lip before forcing myself to look back up into his eyes. He must have noticed how distracting his taunting body was because he let out a deep chuckle before pulling himself off the wall as he made his way towards me.
"Good morning," I said as he stopped in front of me placing a soft kiss against my forehead.
"Morning, beautiful," he mumbled against my head.
"There isn't much to eat for breakfast but I made us some coffee and there were still a few muffins leftover from yesterday," I said gesturing to the simple breakfast I prepared for us.
He smiled as he noticing the steam coming from the freshly poured coffee.
"Want to eat outside?" I asked as he grabbed one of the mugs and taking a cautious sip.
He nodded his head and I grabbed the other mug and one of the plates before walking towards the backdoor.
The sunlight was warm against my skin as the gentle morning breeze rushed around us.
We sat at one of the small tables on the patio while eating our breakfast in silence.
I knew Wyatt planned on informing me about the arrangements of my departure but I don't think either of us were ready to discuss it yet.
