~ He's Not as He Seems~
Wyatt and I returned to Chicago two days ago. I missed the carefree feeling of not having to worry about anything while I was away with Wyatt but now it was time to return back to reality.
I had just finished getting dressed for work and I made my way downstairs to make myself some breakfast before heading off.
Alex was leaning on the kitchen counter preoccupied with her phone. Once she noticed my presence, she turned her attention towards me.
"Morning sunshine," I said as I made my way to the refrigerator.
"Good Morning," replied taking a sip from her mug.
I decided on a yogurt cup since I was running late because I couldn't pry myself out of bed this morning.
"Is Lindsey working with you today?" Alex asked leaning against the counter.
"I'm sure she will be, why?" I asked tearing off the lid and dipping my spoon into the strawberry delight.
"Perfect, I'm going to stop by so you can tell us about your trip," she smiled as she placed her empty mug into the sink.
"I already told you about the trip," I laughed continuing to eat my food.
"I know but I've missed you and I haven't seen Lindsey in a while."
"I'm sure she would love to see you," I said placing my spoon in the sink.
"I'm leaving for work, see you later," I told Alex giving her a quick hug before heading out the door.
Once I made it to work, I walked into the coffee shop and saw Lindsey behind the counter preparing for the day like she always does.
"Davina, I've missed you," she exclaimed as she ran over to hug me when I made my way around the counter.
"I missed you too," I said tightly hugging her back.
"You have to tell me how your trip was with my brother," she said slightly smirking.
"It was amazing! Alex misses you and she wants to come visit today. I will tell you all the details whenever she comes in," I smiled at her.
As I walked to the back to put my belongings away, I debated on whether or not I should tell her that I was intimate with her brother. I'm sure she wouldn't care but I don't know if that's something she wants to imagine.
The day went by at its usual pace. The busy rush in the morning and then the few people that trickled in here and there.
It was later in the day and I just returned from my lunch break. Alex texted me and told me that she would be leaving soon to stop by. I told Lindsey that Alex would be here soon and she smiled wide with amusement.
About twenty minutes later, Alex's perky-self entered the shop and I instantly knew it was her by the squeal she let out when she saw Lindsey and me.
"Girl it's been too long since I last saw you," Alex said to Lindsey leaning over the counter to give her a hug.
"It has been too long," Lindsey laughed pulling away from the hug.
"Davina, stop stacking those cups and come over here," she demanded causing me to roll my eyes before making my way towards them.
"How about you come back here and finish my job," I laughed glaring at Alex.
"You know that I already tried to work here and it didn't work out," she said resting her arms on the counter.
