~ Every Passing Minute ~

It's been two weeks since I left Wyatt in Italy.  We always made time throughout the day to send each other a quick text or call if time allowed.

I was currently spread out on my bed talking to Wyatt on the phone ignoring the fact that I had to leave for work in thirty minutes.

"How's my girl doing?" Wyatt asked as I twirled a piece of hair around my finger.

"Missing you more each passing minute," I replied rolling over on my back.

"I miss you too, beautiful," he sighed.

"But it's already been two weeks which means you hopefully won't be gone much longer," I said staring up at the ceiling hoping Wyatt would tell me he's coming back soon.

"We haven't made much progress in tracking down Emilio or Doctor Griffin.  I'm hoping it's a sign that Emilio left while he had the chance and he won't be coming back, but I still don't know where Doctor Griffin is located," Wyatt replied not giving me the answer I was hoping for.

"I hope for everybody's sake, you're right about Emilio leaving.  As for Doctor Griffin, well I guess all we can do is hope that his hand was the only thing he had to lose," I said pulling myself off the bed and walking over towards my vanity.

I put the phone on speaker so I could continue getting dressed as I picked up the hairbrush, quickly running it through my hair before finishing with a high ponytail.

"Maddox is still looking into Emilio's sudden absence and Doctor Griffin's disappearance.  If Emilio is smart, he won't be returning anytime soon.  We're all on edge here and everybody is biting at the chance to get their retribution on the Tedescos."

"I wish I could help you ease some tension," I said implying that it's been too long without his touch and every part of me was emotionally and physically craving him.

"You probably wouldn't be able to walk properly in the morning FYI," he replied releasing a deeply frustrated groan.

"Should I call in sick for work and stay on the phone?" I teased while picking up the phone to walk towards my closet.

"Don't tempt me, baby.  I would do anything to feel those soft lips of yours wrapped around me right now," he said and the unexpected seduction caused a rapid heat to spread through me.

"Just wait till I see you again.  I won't be planning on leaving the bedroom anytime soon," he added and I had to brace myself against the closet door to keep my knees from melting at the raspy voice on the phone causing a sexual tension to build.

"I might have to book myself a one-way flight to Italy soon if you keep this up," I said trying to make light of the taunting conversation.

"As much as I would love that, I still need to be 100% sure that Emilio and his affiliation are gone for good," he replied.

I threw my eyes to the alarm clock on my nightstand and mentally cursed seeing I only had ten minutes max to finish getting ready.

"I have to finish getting ready for work but I'm glad I could talk to you this morning," I said hastily pulling my work pants up my legs while fumbling for my shirt.

"I'm glad I could talk to you too.  The days are long and brutal without you here," he replied and I knew part of him regretted sending me away, but he did it  for my safety.

"I can say the same," I sighed sitting on the edge of the bed not caring if I was late anymore.  Hearing Wyatt's voice was a lot better than arriving to work on time.
