~ Idolization ~
"Doctor Griffin is here," I faintly heard somebody say as they shook my shoulder.
I opened my eyes to find Cole standing over the bed peering down at Wyatt and I. We were still intertwined in the same position from earlier and Wyatt's eyes fluttered open at the sound of Cole's voice.
I gently removed myself from Wyatt's grasp and I moved off the bed.
"Hello again," Doctor Griffin smiled at me as he walked further into the room.
"Hello," I replied returning the smile.
"How are you feeling? It's good to see you awake," Doctor Griffin said as he stopped next to Wyatt.
"I'm feeling okay. My body feels sore for some reason," Wyatt replied slighting moving to sit up in the bed and his eyes shut as he sucked in air from the sudden pain.
"You lost a lot of blood I'm sure you heard so your body is slowly trying to recover. I know how stubborn you can be but please make sure you're taking it easy on yourself. If you feel like you can get up and walk, that's fine but don't try to overdo yourself," Doctor Griffin said.
"I want a shower though," Wyatt replied still moving to sit up in the bed.
"If you feel strong enough to walk and stand in the shower I don't see the problem with taking one," Doctor Griffin said.
Wyatt nodded his head and moved the covers off his body. He slowly moved to sit up further in the bed and brought his legs to the side as he sat straight up on the edge of the bed.
"How does it feel sitting up?" Doctor Griffin asked Wyatt as he placed his hands on Wyatt's shoulders to help steady him.
"It feels fine. I couldn't lay down anymore," Wyatt huffed.
"Can you raise your right arm above your head?" He asked Wyatt once he moved his hands off.
Wyatt slowly raised his right arm in the air and his back muscles flexed with the tender movements.
"Good now what about your left arm?"
Doctor Griffin nodded his head while smiling at Wyatt successfully completing the actions.
"Can you move your feet as well?" He asked standing back to get a better look at Wyatt's feet.
I couldn't see below Wyatt's thighs but I assumed he was able to move his feet because the smile remained on Doctor Griffin's face.
"I brought you some pain medicine," Doctor Griffin said moving away from Wyatt to walk over to his black medical bag.
He pulled out a small bottle and instructed Wyatt to take one pill every six to eight hours if he was still in pain. He also told Wyatt it was okay to get the stitches wet but he had to make sure to pat dry them after his shower.
"Can I ask you something?" Wyatt said to Doctor Griffin.
He nodded his head in agreement urging Wyatt to continue.
"Do you think Ivano's men are going to come back for us?" Wyatt lowly asked.
My heart sunk when I heard what Wyatt asked because I knew deep down Wyatt was still worried this was far from over. Even though Ivano was dead, what was to stop Emilio from coming back to try and avenge his father's death.
Doctor Griffin sighed and stared at the floor trying to conjure up an answer. His slow response was enough of an answer because even he didn't know what Ivano's men were capable of.
