~ Do I Scare You ~
Wyatt is Lindsey's stepbrother and I had no idea how to react. I know it's not a big deal but if Lindsey and I become even closer, I'm sure I will be seeing Wyatt much more.
I shouldn't be complaining since part of me has been craving his attention again, but the other part of me is completely terrified as he strolled over towards us.
I didn't have much time to fully process my state of shock before his tall stature loomed over us.
"Good evening, ladies. You all are looking very lovely," he said with the same smirk still plastered on his face.
"Wyatt, how nice of you to finally come around," Lindsey said while moving to give her brother an awkwardly forced hug.
"You know I just got back to the states," he said returning the same awkwardness.
"You have been back for weeks now and this is the first time you've come around," she said looking rather disappointed.
"Well I'm here now aren't I?" Wyatt replied looking like he wanted the conversation to end.
"Anyway, I would like to introduce you to my friends. This is Dav-"
"Davina, it's a pleasure to see you again," he said cutting off Lindsey before she could finish her introduction.
"Wait, you two already know each other?" Lindsey asked curiously looking back and forth between Wyatt and I.
"Yeah, I guess you could say something like that," he replied and sticking out his tongue to slowly wet his lips.
Again my knees went weak and there was nothing for me to grab on to. It's like he can sense that every action he makes has some kind of effect on me.
"Well since you already know Davina this is Alex, her roommate."
"I remember seeing you at the club. Feeling any better?" He asked Alex like he was still pissed that she interrupted our dance at the club.
"I'm peachy! Thank you for being so concerned," Alex responded with the same enthusiasm.
"I'm going to go find my dad and your mom. I will see y'all later," he replied walking away without saying another word.
I let out a deep breath as I watched Wyatt walk away and disappear into a crowd of people.
"I didn't know that you had already met my brother," Lindsey said turning to face me.
"Uhh yeah, we met at a club and then he came into the coffee shop a few weeks ago," I replied trying to play it off like it wasn't a big deal.
"Wyatt doesn't even drink coffee," Lindsey said looking confused.
"I guess that's why he didn't know what to order."
"I don't even know how to understand Wyatt. He complains that none of us understand him but yet he never let's mom or I get to know him. It's like he's afraid to let people into his life," Lindsey said looking in the direction Wyatt disappeared off to.
"Families can be complicated but I'm sure he will come around," I said placing my hand on Lindsey's shoulder.
"Enough of this sad fest, let's go get some food," Alex said eyeing up the food stations.
"I already ate but y'all go enjoy," Lindsey said smiling before she walked away.
"Come on, I see a mashed potato bar!" Alex said dragging me behind her towards the food.
Alex and I got our plates of food and found a vacant table to sit at. Alex had two servings of mashed potatoes and she finished mine off as well.
"How can you eat so much and still be so skinny?" I asked her while watching her finish the last bite.
