~ Paying the Price ~
"Come on dude, one drink won't hurt," Trevor said trying to coax Wyatt into taking the cup filled with alcohol.
Wyatt laughed and insisted that he wasn't in the mood to drink.
"I made this drink with lots of love," Trevor frowned as Wyatt denied his offer for the fifth time.
"I'll take the drink," I said capturing the cup from Trevor's hand and taking a sip, feeling the burn of alcohol.
"At least somebody is appreciative of my offer," Trevor smirked.
I rolled my eyes and looked up Wyatt who was already looking down at me.
"What?" I asked noticing the slight smirk played on his lips.
"You're just so beautiful," he replied kissing the side of my head.
I moved my head up and connected my lips with Wyatt's plump ones. As usual, my heartbeat quickened like it always does when I kiss him.
"I'm going to get something to eat. Are you hungry?" I asked once we pulled away.
"I'll catch up with you in a little bit," Wyatt replied giving my head a final kiss.
I walked towards the table filled with a variety of food and since I haven't eaten since this morning, everything on the table looked delicious.
Once I filled my plate to the brim with food, I turned around to find a place to sit. Cole was sitting alone at a table to the far right and he motioned for me to come over.
"Hey," I said sitting my plate down on the table as I sat down.
"Sup," he replied smiling at me.
"It's good to see everybody enjoying themselves," I said noticing how relaxed everybody looked compared to the last few days when everything was a mass of chaos.
"You got that right. It feels good to enjoy myself for once," he said taking a sip of his drink.
"Wyatt is lucky to have you all," I replied taking a bite of food.
"We're lucky to have you too. You're just as important to us," Cole replied nudging my shoulder.
"I appreciate that," I said with a smile.
Cole and I continued to eat our food while talking about nothing important.
Eventually, when mostly everybody was drunk, we gathered the chairs in a large circle around the firepit.
I sat in between Wyatt and Cole while Wyatt rested his hand on my thigh.
The boys picked on one another as usual and I laughed at their childish behavior.
"I've told you before, older women can't resist me," Dean said holding his hands up in defense.
"Probably because they think you're their age," Maddox replied.
"Thanks to the grey hair you have," Wren added on.
Dean quickly brushed his hand over his hair and narrowed his eyes between the two men.
"You all stress me out, it's not my fault I have grey hair in my twenties," Dean huffed leaning back in the chair.
"Wren, keep laughing but I think I see a grey hair right there," Cole said squinting his eyes while leaning closer to Wren.
"There's no way," Wren exclaimed jumping up from his chair and running towards the back door.
He flung the door open and slammed it behind him.
