~ Can't Stay Away From You ~

It was Monday morning and I just left the apartment to head to work. All day yesterday, I thought about my heated encounter with Wyatt wondering how we were going to progress from the affair.

I walked into work and was greeted with Lindsey's cheery personality as usual.

We laughed and talked while getting the coffee shop ready for the busy day.

"I just wanted to thank you for coming to my parent's anniversary party," she said while making herself a free cup of coffee. One of the few benefits for being an employee.

"Thank you for inviting Alex and I. We both had an amazing time and your parents seem like genuine people," I smiled to her recalling my encounter with them.

"Doors are about to open ladies," Mr. Cooper said emerging from the back making his way to the doors to unlock them.

"It's showtime," Lindsey joked as we noticed customers already coming in to order their usual drinks.

Monday mornings are usually hectic so it doesn't take long for the morning to go buy rather quickly and before I knew it, it was time for my lunch break.

I headed to the break room to carry out my usual uneventful lunch break.

It was about ten minutes into my break when I heard the door to the break room open. Lindsey appeared from behind the door with a grin on her face.

"What's wrong? Do you need help with the orders," I asked assuming she may need help placing orders.

"No, everything is fine but somebody is here to see you," she said before turning to walk out the door leaving me clueless.

I wasn't expecting any visitors so I didn't know who Lindsey could be talking about.

As I made my way to the front of the store, my question was soon answered when I saw the familiar tattooed arms and dominating height that of course, Wyatt possessed.

I made my way to the front of the counter and greeted Wyatt with a simple "hello."

"Hey, I wanted to stop by because I want to talk to you about something," he said shoving his hands into the pockets of his jeans.

It was odd not seeing Wyatt act with his usual seductive and domineering fashion, but it was probably because Lindsey was standing right next to me.

"Okay, what did you want to talk about?" I asked curiously.

"Can I speak to you alone?" He asked nodding his head towards the empty tables on the opposite side of the counter.

I looked over at Lindsey who didn't say anything but by the smirk on her face, I knew she was amused.

I walked around the edge of the counter and followed Wyatt to an empty table closest to the back wall. I guess he really didn't want anybody hearing what he had to say.

I sat down in the empty chair at the table watching as Wyatt took a seat in the chair next to me. He turned his chair so that his back was facing the front of the coffee shop and he placed his left arm on the table.

"So what is it that you wanted to talk about?" I asked admiring the tattoos on his arm resting on the table.

"I came to ask you if I could take you out sometime," he said nonchalantly.

"You want to take me out?" I asked in surprise because truth be told, I've never had a guy ask me out before so this was all new to me. Well at least not a guy that I was undeniably attracted to.
