Maddie and Felix walked out of the shop together onto the practically empty street, the sun starting to get low in the sky, as they left it was painfully obvious to the both of them that the other wanted to be as far away from the other as possible. Though it appeared they had the same destination in mind, they both headed the metro station walking a good few meters apart. Once they arrived Maddie was irritatingly forced to consult the map to ensure that she had the right train in mind to take.

"Where do you wanna go?" Felix's deep voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Home" Maddie snapped.

Felix laughed flighty to himself "just trying to help" he shrugged "you don't have to be so proud, being new in this city isn't easy for anyone"

"What happened to just being civil?" Maddie rolled her eyes.

"Nothing, this is me being civil" Felix shrugged, clearly their ideas of civil were different, when Maddie's scowl didn't budge he just rolled his eyes "if you don't want my help I won't waste my time, I just know the maps hard to read"

Maddie sighed reluctantly and told Felix the district she lived in "really?" He asked with a shocked expression "you live here?"

"Yeah, what's wrong with it?" Maddie snapped defensively, Felix just shrugged and forced his face to relax.

"Nothing" he brushed it off quickly and reminded her of the route.

"Thanks" Maddie muttered reluctantly.

"The beast softens" Felix teased.

Maddie just rolled her eyes and walked away from him without another word. On her way back her mind was consumed and she planned on asking Johnny about the area they lived in, in daylight it seemed so nice but as the sun was setting it shed a sinister shadow on the streets, and the way Felix had reacted bothered her more than it probably should have, and she needed to know why.

Maddie had taken a spare key with her along with the key Johnny gave her, so she could make her way up the stairs to the apartment without bothering Johnny and Mark if they were even home, which in all reality they rarely were. Maddie's legs ached with fatigue as she climbed what felt like thousands of steps to their apartment, she couldn't help but curse the elevator for being broken - in all lucid reality she should probably have been mad at whoever broke it but in her lethargic state she found herself muttering threats to the metal box. She shook off her bag to grab her keys as she walked up to the door, her eyes heavy from the long day. Her throat was sore and dry from the day in the summer sun and she craved a cool glass of water, which could hopefully wake her up too.

Maddie pushed the key into the lock with a long sigh, she could hear the commotion going on inside the door and she couldn't help but curse the two owners of the apartment for choosing this day to actually be there, and by the sounds of it invite a whole bunch of their friends over too.  She briefly prepared herself for what she'd have to deal with turning the key in the lock, as she entered the hallway she slipped of her heavy shoes and slid on a pair of sliders, she carefully and quietly closed the door behind her hoping not to disturb the heated conversation ebbing through the walls, that she wasn't paying particular attention to. She dumped her bag down in the floor beside her and quietly padded through the hall.

It quickly became clear to her that the men were all gathered in the kitchen, the one place she wanted to go to grab a drink. She contemplated just drinking out of the bathroom sink before convincing herself she wouldn't stoop to that level just to avoid people she should probably be getting to know. So with a lazy step she shuffled along the corridor to the kitchen door which was open ajar. She pushed the door open the whole way, only intending to quickly grab a glass of water and leave, without having to speak to them for any period of time. But as soon as she stepped though door she was flooded with unexpected images. Initially it just looked like the men were all crowded around the table, innocently enough until she noticed a map of Seoul was spread out on the dining table where she'd eaten just nights before, next to it a stack of cash lay precariously close to the edge, the cousin she barely recognised fiddling with the mechanism of one of the many guns now littering the table, another man twirling a knife through his fingers.
