Chapter 44

Yuta and Jaehyun had just met their newest member for the first time, he was born in 2000 so wasn't the youngest, but definitely young enough that he could be moulded into the ideal member, however compared to how young the others were when they joined SM he'd have a lot of catching up to do just like Maddie but fortunately he had insisted that he was prepared to work hard.

He had run into the criminal world in Osaka and had run away to Tokyo, but now he'd caused some uproar there too, so what the boys had to offer was very appealing to him, a new life and identity in a new country, from now on his name was Shotaro, and he was one step closer to being under SM, as a part of NCT, all he had to do was sign the contract once they got back to Seoul.  

The three of them were staying in NCT's small Tokyo apartment, after last night when Jaehyun and Yuta had arrived tiered at the house and had to cram into a shared room Jaehyun had absolutely no interest in staying there. Shotaro and Yuta had spent the whole day speaking in rapid Japanese and Jaehyun was bored. He was able to lure girls in the casino, so surely he could find some girl with a hotel room to crash. He threw on a pair of jeans and a white shirt getting ready to go out with Yuta and even Shotaro, luckily he was already familiar with guns and fighting so training him wouldn't be nearly as taxing as training Maddie, who knew nothing.

Eventually they headed out, it was rare they got to actually go to a club or a bar without any other ulterior motives, usually they were all in the Casino working or out doing missions or planning for one. Or in Jaehyuns case training the newbies, he didn't mind his job he found it very rewarding but he couldn't help but wish he could be more involved with the decision making like the other original members were, but for that he'd need to be at the meetings which he regularly missed because of training. Most people would do anything to get out of having to attend the occasionally gruelling meetings but Jaehyun was dying to be in the room where it happened. It wasn't that he wasn't a trusted member of the team, he was one of the most trusted, and that was why he was entrusted with training the recruits.

They were all going to go out to eat then head to a club which was owned by one of their senior groups SHINee had given NCT to run called Lucifer.

It was 11 pm and Alice was bored, she'd already been out for dinner with one of the friends she'd made at the international school she'd attended throughout high school, and it had been absolutely amazing - she got to eat some local food at a restaurant not many tourists knew about, so she'd gotten to experience a nice meal without the tourist prices.

But now she was bored out her mind and had absolutely nothing to do, and because she'd spent most of the morning sleeping and the rest of the afternoon looking around she wasn't tiered at all. She couldn't help but think that Maddie never seemed to be bored, she was always doing something exciting. So she made a split decision and pulled out her phone and called her.

It took a while for her pick up but eventually she heard the comforting sound of her friends voice.

"Hey Moore" Maddie muttered her voice a bit muffled and gravelly because t seemed that she was actually asleep for once at midnight.

"Hey Mads" Alice said her voice giving away her excitement at just hearing her friends voice. "How are you?"

"Ok I had a normal day, I think I'm getting into more of a routine, I need to get more sleep though" she mumbled.

"Ahh well that's good to hear" Alice nodded.

"What's up?" she yawned.
