The time leading up to the big party that Maddie was being forced to attend along with NCT passed extremely quickly. She and Alice tried to spend lots of time together as Maddie showed her various parts of korean culture that she herself had only really just learnt. They had spent way too many hours shopping for albums from their favourite k-pop groups and exploring the city. Izzy had joined the girls a couple of times as well when she was free from class and Maddie had loved being able to spend quality time with the two people she loved most in the world. She had also taken Alice to meet her friends from school and had been teased endlessly after about how she spent the whole time drooling over Hyunjin. The boys all tried really hard to speak in English although there were some epic fails. She had never heard Minho be so quiet after he mispronounced New York City as New York shitty.

Soon the day of the big party arrived so Maddie headed over to the NCT mansion to get ready along with Johnny and Mark relatively early on in the day in order to get ready. Maddie had demanded that she be the first one take a shower, her wet hair was tightly secured in a towel as she sat on Winwin and Lucas's bedroom floor in one of his hoodies. She found out after she spent the night in the bed behind her that the other bed that she hadn't noticed before belonged to Winwin, who had had the decency to leave Maddie and Lucas to what ever the hell they were doing. She had all of her makeup spread out on the floor in front of her as she sat in front of his full length mirror. She stretched out her muscles and preped her skin for the long endeavour it would endure.

Just as she'd finished up her makeup, the boys in the house started to actually get ready themselves apparently it took them a fraction of the time Maddie had set aside for getting ready. She was curling her now dry hair to perfection letting it fall in effortless curls around her shoulders. She grabbed her underwear out of her bag and took the silky dress of its hanger before heading to the bathroom to finish getting changed into her dress.

"Can you zip me up?" Maddie asked the boys as she re-entered the room. Winwin quickly headed over to her pulling up the zipper as she pulled her hair out of the way a slight blush stretching across his cheekbones. Maddie readjusted the fit of the dress looking in the mirror satisfied with her adjustments.

Lucas couldn't rip his eyes off her as she pulled on her jewellery fastening a bracelet around her wrist and slipping on her NCT ring. He took the necklace Johnny had foster her in the night if her initiation, out of hands as her perfectly manicured fingers as she fumbled with the catch securing it around her neck. He couldn't suppress the butterflies that's swarmed his stomach as she smiled at him catching his eyes in the mirror, he swallowed the lump in his throat and smiled back.

She walked over to the bed and slipped on her heels making her a good few inches taller. "So how'd I look?" She laughed noticing how Lucas hadn't taken his eyes of her actions.

Lucas shook his head adverting his eyes before he helped her up off the bed, answering "perfect".

Maddie couldn't help the grin that rose to her face, coming from a guy who considered himself a Greek god that was very high praise. She had been unbelievably nervous, this would be her first public appearance with the gang, and she did indeed want to look 'perfect'.
