Maddie and Jaehyun had just arrived back at the apartment, and sure enough they caught the end of the meeting, Maddie tried to just sneak past the boisterous boys to her room, her entire day had been exhausting, but she wasn't going to be allowed out that easily.

"Maddie" Taeyong called, not even looking up from what he was working on.

"Yes" Maddie replied silently begging to just be allowed to go to bed.

"How was your first training session?" He asked still not looking at her.

"Ok" she replied not quite sure what she should say, she looked over to Jaehyun for reassurance he took the hint and spoke up.

"She did well, there's plenty of room for improvement, I think she'll be ok"

Taeyong then looked up at Jaehyun to check what he was saying was true. And when he was happy he returned his attention to whatever he was working on.

"I'm going to go" Maddie muttered pointing in the general direction of her bedroom door, feeling tired and just wanting her own space. She left the men and to her absolute delight no one objected.

Once she was in her room, Maddie decided to call Alice, her break down earlier had showed her how much she relied on her friend and she missed her, a lot had happened for her and no doubt Alice had lots to tell Maddie too. Maddie had absolutely no intention of telling Alice about NCT, Alice always supported her but she couldn't bear to see the disappointment on her friends face if she found out about her fatal mistake. Even if she'd have wanted to tell Alice she couldn't, she'd signed a contract forbidding her from mentioning her involvement with the gang, to both her family or friends, and that was just fine by her.

Luckily Alice picked up first try and in bearing her voice Maddie nearly broke down. But she didn't, she wanted to stay strong for Alice, there was no good worrying her while she was halfway across the world. At Alice's request Maddie filled her in on everything that had happened since she'd left, though leaving out the more illegal details.

As Maddie had anticipated she also had a whole lot to say about her travels, Maddie asked her if she'd spotted any men worth her time but as per usual the answer was no. No one could catch Alice's eye and it was a shame because Alice caught a lot of people's attention with her good looks and kind temperament, not to mention her insane talent when it came it a sketchbook some paints or a pencil. But she was the kind to wait around for 'mr right' rather than jump on the first opportunity she was presented with.

"My love life is always going to be boring in your eyes" Alice giggled down the crackly connection "but I'm curious about all these boys, the ones at school, your cousins friends, Izzy's friends, are there actually any girls in South Korea? Or are you just surrounded by men?" She teased going off the little Maddie had been also to tell her.

"The temptation is insane, studying is a nightmare?" Maddie joked, it was strange keeping secrets from Alice but she knew it was for the best.

"So are you interested in any of them? Not that you need a distraction" Alice rambled "how about the Aussie?"

"I only just had a coherent conversation with him today and I was crying for most of it, so not really" Maddie smiled.
