Izzy closed her laptop at the end of her last lecture of the day, putting it into her backpack and starting to file out of the hall. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, she tried to suppress a yawn as she passed the professors desk as the old man was still clearing up his notes.

"I have no idea how that man managed to make a topic that interesting sound so dreadfully boring" a voice from Izzys right spoke in perfect English, the sound of her own language a deep relief. She turned to see her best friend, Cassidy smiling at up her from her considerably shorter height.

"Tell me about it" Izzy agreed as the two girls left the lecture hall. "And that massive reading assignment he set is just ridiculous, there no way I can get that done for the end of the week!"

"I'm just not gonna bother, and if he asks why I'll tell him it's because I'm a foreigner and misnderstood the assignment" Cassidy replied, pushing her bright blue hair out of her face.

Izzy burst out laughing at her friends wit, noting that she should use the excuse herself if her workload ever got to much. When Izzy had first meet Cassidy back in London, she had known very little English with her family moving from her native Hong Kong for her fathers job. They had gone to high school together, but after going their separate ways for university they were surprised to reunite with each other on the first day of class at SNU.

Cassidy had always reminded Izzy of her sister as she was always fashionably dressed, endlessly sassy and fiery towards those who doubted her which made Izzy instantly like her. Cassidy has been planning to start work this year as a reporter but her parents had persuaded her to do another degree here in Seoul. Izzy was not surprised at how little her friend had changed - apart from the hair colour which seemed to change every month.

"You free to grab bubble tea today?" Cassidy asked, as they left the department building. The sun was out and while Izzy relished the warmth on her face while Cassidy desperately tried to hide from the rays terrified of the damage they could do to her currently flawless skin.

"I can't, Maddie's coming over tonight and I promised I'd help the boys clean up the pigsty they call an apartment" Izzy replied, smiling down at her much shorter friend.

"Oh well, another time though. We need to properly catch up, and I need to meet this gorgeous boyfriend of yours!"

"Ditto" Izzy laughed, wrapping an arm around her old friend. "I can't believe you've been dating some hot korean man since straight after the end of high school and you didn't tell me!"

"His name is Xiumin" Cassidy corrected with an eye roll "and you were busy travelling all over the place that summer. I barely saw you!"

"Hmmm, true I guess" Izzy replied. "Later this week we'll meet up yeah?"

"Text me times your free and I'll take us to the best bubble tea place in Seoul, trust me."

"Sounds good to me" Izzy answered, leaning in to hug her friend before they went their separate ways, as Cassidy was living in the univeristy accommodation while the boys lived in a much nicer part of the city.

"See you tomorrow!" Cas called out as Izzy headed out of the campus, past the student parking lot. The beautiful weather had made her want to walk to the boys place along the river as there was nothing she loved more than feeling the sun on her face. Even when she was younger, whenever England was blessed with a beautiful day she would drag her sister to Hyde Park to enjoy the sunny weather.
