Maddie's alarm blared through the silence of the morning, Maddie wasn't asleep when it had gone off so she just tapped the screen and rolled out of bed. She'd set her alarm early that morning in order to go out running and start getting in shape like Jaehyun had demanded for her training. She used to be pretty athletic but with a mixture of lack of exercise and chronic smoking, her peak was certain past. She threw on some work out clothes and did some minimal stretching before heading out of her room, heading straight for the kitchen.

She turned around once she'd filled up a glass of water to see Jaehyun standing at the door, his arms crossed across his body, his hair sort of messy from where he'd spent the night on the couch, just like Lucas had days before. "Sorry did I wake you up?" Maddie quickly apologised as Jaehyun let out a tiered yawn.

"No" he lied "but what are you doing up?"

"I was going to go for a run, you know to start my fitness" she explained hoping to please her teacher.

"Alone?" Jaehyun added, his eyebrows raised.

"I mean, yeah, why wouldn't I?" Maddie stuttered.

"Because this city is really dangerous" Jaehyun added "and you need to know where you can go and stay safe"

"What do you mean?" Maddie asked cautiously.

"You can't just accidentally run into JYP territory, you won't be safe there and this apartment is right in the edge of the NCT territory" he explained.

"So where can I go?" Maddie quickly asked.

"What's happening here?" Maddie heard Mark mumble from in the hallway, Jaehyun turned to him and soon he came into view.

"Maddie was going to go out by herself" Jaehyun explained.

"Ooo that's dangerous" Mark winced "you should go with someone else first then you can start going alone" he added.

Maddie let out an irritated sigh, she didn't anticipate that things even as simple as going in a run would be complicated once she signed that contract. "What should I do then?" Maddie sighed.

"Mark will go with you" Jaehyun immediately offered.

"What? No" Mark immediately countered "you should go you're training her"

"You live with her, if I wasn't here it would be your job anyway" Jaehyun snapped back stormily.

"But you are here" Mark whined.

"Why are you two bickering like children" Johnny's irritated voice followed.

"Maddie wants to go on a run" both of them replied.

"Then let her go" Johnny shrugged.

"But she can't go alone" Mark reminded.
