Chapter Nine

After we left the station,Wendy fell asleep.Currently,i was in a different room.Lucy giggled in the corner,sitting on a chair.I was playing hide and seek in a common room with all of the children,allowing Gajeel and Natsu some piece of mind.Juvia and Gray were also alone,their only child being baby sat by me.I looked around the room,trying to spot on of them.Then i saw Reiki's bright red hair.I smirked,then pulled back the curtain covering him."Ha,now only two more"i said,declaring it loudly.I was trying to find Igneel and Reiki's younger sister,Rosemary-whom was actually on my back,soundly asleep after being wrapped in my scarf.

I spotted Igneel,grabbing his feet i moved him out from under the chair.He giggled,then i sat him on the floor with the rest of the children.I looked at them with a confused expression.I counted them,then frowned."I'm missing one!Alright you gotta help me look for her,Erza will kill me!"i said,the kids giggled.Then Storm pointed to my back,I looked behind me."She's on your back!"yelled Nova.I pulled Rosemary around to my stomach,wrapped softly in my scarf.Rosemary giggled,being only one year old she didnt understand.Then Storm pointed behind me again,i turned around and saw Jellal and Erza.

"Reiki and Rosemary are fine-..."

"We need to talk,about your quest,"said Erza.Why did we need to talk,did the Islanders find another mage?I nodded,then Lucy walked over to grab Rosemary."You go,I'll tell them some stories,"said Lucy.I thanked her,then i followed them out.Erza kept walking until she found my room,was it so important?I unlocked it,then as the light shone through the room Wendy opened her eyes.She sat up,"what's going on?"asked Wendy,I sat down next to her while Erza and Jellal sat opposite us.

"Its about the ship you described leaving the Island,its gotten worse.They found the ship you described because the ship had fourteen bodies of the Sea Magic Guards,they took the official ship of ours and now they're in our uniforms.We don't know what ship they're on,just that its ours. They've also gained a following,they estimate fifty members now."

I looked at them in shock,how did that happen?"What?Surely not!What can we do about it?"asked Wendy.Jellal shrugged,he rubbed the knuckles on his hand.Then he glanced over at Erza,"we can't do much other then track them.When we pinpoint a location or we find out more we'll have a raid and arrest them,"said Jellal.

"I'm joining that raid."

Jellos laughed,"we knew you'd say that.Right now we don't have much,but since it was your quest we decided it'd be important for you to know.The other dragon slayers have also been told,considering at first they were after Natsu.Hopefully this doesn't get worse,"said Jellal.I nodded in agreement,looking down at the floor.Jellal and Erza stood up.

"We'll find them,don't worry.You didn't know that it would escalate.Don't beat yourself up over it,it does no good."

I nodded,taking into consideration of Erza's words.They walked out of the room,leaving us alone.I sighed,running a hand through my hair."I should've gone after them,"I muttered.Wendy crawled under my arms and sat on my lap.She put her arms around my neck,"you did all that you could.I didn't think of going after them either,"replied Wendy.I shrugged,I felt utterly defeated.Wendy leaned over and kissed my cheek.I let my head fall into the crook of her neck.

"You can't beat yourself up over this.It doesn't help you,just as Erza said.It'll only make you feel worse as you dwell on it."

I pulled back,gazing into her honey brown eyes."I know but how could I have been so dumb?"I asked,Wendy sighed.She leaned over and rested her forehead against mine."We both made a mistake,we can't go back on it either.We'll get through this,"replied Wendy.I nodded,then she leaned forward and kissed me.

I kissed her back,putting my hand on her cheek.Wendy shuffled closer,pressing her body tightly against mine.I moved so we'd be laying down.Wendy smiled and kissed further down my neck.I laughed as she took my top off."This is what we're doing?"I asked,Wendy shrugged and pulled her top off too.She kissed down my chest,giggling.

"You told me we'd finish this later,it's now later."

"What are you gonna do when they find out where they are?"

I shrugged,putting a carrot in my mouth."They're going to do a raid,arrest them and probably question them.Im joining the raid,"I replied.Lucy nodded,then Gray rolled his eyes."Why can't they leave us in peace?We fought the war and killed him,we all suffered.Let him rest,"said Gray.Juvia rubbed his back,I realised during the war Juvia sacrificed her life for Gray by stabbing herself.Gray thought the same,except Juvia ended up being to hurt to continue fighting.The scar on her stomach was a reminder.

"I know what you mean,I still have nightmares from it.I can never forget feeling so tired and sore and scared at the same time.We had so many expectations to live up too being the dragon slayers,I felt like I'd let everyone down."

"Well you did well,we all did.I just hope they find this guild quickly,"said Natsu.We all agreed,then Levy let out a loud sigh.I glanced over,following her gaze I noticed it was on her children.Gajeel was in their room,clearly too sick to come out.I couldn't understand how it felt to want to protect my child but from seeing the worried looks I knew it was an intense feeling.

"I'm sure this whole thing will blow over in a few months.Jellal and his team are really good at their jobs.Plus,you know Erza.She wants this to be over too,with Rosemary being so small."

I nodded in agreement at Wendy's words."I don't care about dark guilds,they never do anything bad anymore.They just beat a few people up and then we beat them up.Reviving Zeref's magic is just beyond words,why would they do it?"asked Gray.Silence fell upon us.Why did they want to revive the deadly magic of a mage who just caused so much pain and suffering.

"We're all getting stressed over something that could be nothing.Although I can understand wanting to be scared.We were mostly affected by it,we all have wounds that won't heal from it."

I looked around the table,seeing the small scars.Natsu having a large scar on his side,Juvia and Gray having matching scars,Lucy having a small cut in her lip.I looked at Wendy,the scar from her fight with one of the members of Tartarus.I looked down at my own scars,at this stage too many to count.

"Is it bad sometimes I wanna leave the guild because of Storm?"

I looked over at Gray,he laughed and ran a hand through his hair."I know it's been years since we had these kinds of problems but he's my son and do I want him to suffer the way we all did.I mean,would it be best if we left until he was old enough to decide?"asked Gray.Lucy sighed,agreeing quietly.

I never thought or assumed they'd want to leave the guild,"you guys can't be serious.We grew up in this guild and look how we turned out!We had so many adventures and we're all practically family.I want Nashi and Igneel to have the same thing,"said Natsu.I knew how important it was for Natsu to have his kids in the guild,after all he grew up with no family other then the guild and Happy.

"Our kids will get hurt but we know from our mistakes what to and what not to do.I want my kids to fight and feel the rush of protecting the guild,but I want them also to know everyone here has their back.Thats why we're here."
