Chapter Twenty Two

I looked him in the eyes,he ran forward at lightning speed.His fist collided with my stomach,I whipped around and kicked his feet out.He stumbled,but didn't fall.I turned quickly,kicking his back and pushing him to his knees.Before i could push his back down so he was on the ground,he jumped up and grabbed me from behind.He held his hand over my neck,i felt my last breath leave my body.I gasped for air,i started clawing at his arms.I sucked in a deep breath,i was the sky maiden and this was my turf.I began to eat the air,feeling the power begin to course through my veins.

"I admit you're a better fighter then your mate."

"How would you know.Its been four years,"i said as i ripped away from his grip.He threw his head back and laugh,his hands glowing black."I fought him less then a week ago,i never forget a face,"said the man.I frowned,he was crazy.Romeo was dead,Erza saw the body and so did Natsu.So did i.For a few minutes we danced around in an intense hand to hand combat battle.Then he leapt back,waving his hands in a circle.A magic circle appeared,i was ready to jump out of the way when suddenly things went dark.

I looked around me,everything was black.What was happening?I looked around and then,with all the darkness i saw light.I ran towards the light,i saw a bed there.I slowed down as i got closer,the darkness transformed into the hut Romeo and I stayed in when we were on the island.I pushed through the curtain,seeing the fire in the middle.I looked to the bed,seeing two people.It was Romeo and I,i was sitting on top of his lap.Slowly kissing one another.I felt my heart slightly break,for the first time in three years i had seen his face like it was really there.

My stomach did flips thinking about that night.The intense burning passion,the sweat dripping off of one another.His name rolling off my tongue...our son was born from this moment.I felt a hot salty tear roll down my cheek.

Suddenly,the room began to disappear.I ran forward towards Romeo.I went to grab his hand,but it's like i was falling down a pit.I hit the ground hard,then i saw the man.He was sitting next to a bed.A dark purple one,with teddies all over it.I gasped,it was Kasai's room."Don't touch him!"i screamed,a bright flash distracted me but before the flash i saw him touch Kasai's chest.My son started to cry.I screamed as the image faded.

Suddenly i was put into reality,the man was laughing."You fell for it!Your heartbeat went up very quickly.I see your son is you weak spot over your mate,"said the man.I rolled my eyes,didn't he understand the concept of death?People die,clearly something he couldn't wrap his brain around."My son is my only spouse,my mate died three years ago!"I yelled,the wind swirled around me.Anger was rising and pulsing through my veins.

"Your mate isn't dead and i know that for a fact.He's been lying to you.Maybe he's trying to escape you?He hates you!He wants you gone and out of his life!"

I shook my head,"i know he is gone you can't change my mind!"I yelled.The man sighed,his face turning sour.He clicked his fingers,the next thing i knew he was next to me.I was paralysed,he smirked."Watch me,"he whispered.Then i was once again surrounded by darkness.I heard heavy breathing.I whipped around,seeing Romeo.He was with someone else,a girl with slightly red hair.He had her against a wall,kissing her.I shook my head,it wasn't real!"I know this isn't real!"i shouted.

The image changed,suddenly it was late at night.I was in a forest.Jagged cliffs were around me,i looked around.I heard explosions and yelling,"retreat!"yelled someone.I looked around,hearing people running.Then i saw a clearing,Romeo.He was fighting,clearly outnumbered.I ran forward,then i saw the man.He was standing over Romeo,he smirked.With the click of his fingers Romeo fell to the ground in agony.Once again the image changed.

I sucked in a deep breath,looking around me.I was on my hands and knees,"what did you do to him?Before he died!"I yelled.He looked at me,smirking as he gazed into my eyes."I'll show you,"he said.After the words left his mouth I screamed in agony,my whole body was burning and throbbing.It felt like I had been thrown into lava.I grabbed dirt from the ground,I gasped in air.I had never felt pain as extreme as this.

I looked down at my thighs,I watched as cuts appeared without any cause.I screamed again,feeling the pain that was oh so overwhelming.I wanted to scream for help but it's like words weren't even able to form out of my mouth.How could I call for help if I could let alone barely stand up or breathe.I felt hot tears slide down my cheeks.The pain was unbearable.I looked over the hill towards the guild hall.I knew my son was safe with Macao but all I could think of is ,would I see him again?

I looked back up at him,I slowly got up on one knee then I stood up.I took a deep shaky breath,"I'll fight until I'm dead,"I spat.He looked at me,rolling his eyes.He was admiring his hands.He returned his gaze from his hands to me."I can make you feel all sorts of pain,"he said.Like that,I was in even more pain.He was doing it for the fun now.I fell to the ground,this time the pain was so intense everything was blurry.I felt a large wound open in my stomach,knowing whatever spell he was putting on me was creating more and more wounds.

I was going in and out of consciousness.I heard a loud explosion,then I saw darkness covering the sun on my body.I couldn't tell who it was,I assumed from the smell of smoke and fire it was Natsu.I heard yelling followed by fighting,but I couldn't open my eyes.The spell was still affecting me.Im not sure if it was the pain or the blood loss but I began to lose conscious more now.I opened my eyes,seeing someone standing there in front of me.I saw Natsus white pants and I smiled.I was gonna be okay.I gave in to the pain,drifting away from reality.
