Chapter Thirty

Today was the day we were leaving to go to the islanders.In fact,Wendy and I were already on the first boat.Kasai ran impatiently around my legs,Wendy was too busy for his attention.He still felt a little sick,but i lifted him up.

"Hey buddy,come sit here."

Kasai giggled and he sat on the edge of the large wooden ship.He smiled as he pointed at the water.I held my hands around him securely."Where are we going?"asked Kasai.I took a deep breath in,remembering my first trip here.

"We're gonna fight the bad guys and we have to take you with us.But your gonna be safe.This island is how me and mummy became your parents!"

Kasai giggled,he fell back onto me.Suddenly i felt more hands on me,Wendy wrapped her arms around me.Well to the best of her ability.Ever since the false pregnancy test she seemed to be obsessed with it,taking one every second day.Both of us however were fully fertile.

I didn't think too much of it,but she seemed to care a lot.I put Kasai down on the floor of the ship."What are you thinking about?"i asked,Wendy leaned against me.She sighed and kissed the skin on my chest.

"The first time we came here we were young and on a mission.Now we're engaged and ready for a war."

"It'll be okay,"i responded.I kissed her forehead,however our sweet moment was interrupted by Erza."We want you two to get into a smaller boat and make sure everything is clear,we'll send the exceeds after you to get the all clear.Okay?"asked Erza.

"Yes of course we'll leave now that we're close enough."

I nodded and picked Kasai up."Let's go for a little ride,"i said.Kasai didn't say no,he was happy to stay with us.We got lowered into a paddle boat,however Wendy manipulated the wind so that we didn't have to paddle the whole way.

"Where are we going?"

"We're going to an island,and the people on the island are going to take care of us.Because we're going to need help when we fight the bad people."

I nodded in agreement,Wendy smiled and leaned over and rubbed his leg.Kasai sat happily on my legs,he was getting bigger."Am i gonna fight?"asked Kasai,he sounded serious.I glanced up at Wendy.She swallower hard.

"No of course not!You're way too strong for the bad guys,gotta give them some chance huh don't we?"

Kasai laughed and held his hand,a little spark of a flame came from his hand.He giggled,i smiled and rubbed his legs.I lit a flame in my hand,which was much larger then his little one."Yours is bigger!"exclaimed Kasai.

"Well that's because i'm much bigger,when you grow up your flames will get much bigger and stronger."

Kasai nodded,then the boat crashed into the sand bank.I passed Kasai to Wendy and jumped into the warm tropical water.I pulled the boat up a little further so it was stuck in the sand.Then Wendy jumped out with Kasai.

As we walked onto the beach memories flashed past me.Last time i walked up towards the islanders village,Wendy and i were younger and had no idea what was about unravel.Here we were cleaning up the mess we made.

"Where are the people?"

"They've moved further into the forest again,they want to be safe for this war.I think maybe they still have that old village we went too,"explained Wendy.I turned around and saw the exceeds ready to be signalled.

"Why am i coming?"

"Would you rather be stuck with uncle Gray?"i asked,Kasai shut up immediately.Wendy stifled a giggle.The route to the old village was familiar,like i walked it every single day.Finally,the clearing opened.

The walls were strong,tall and built out of some yellowish stone.The guards stood at the top of the wall,pointing bows down at us.My eyes widened,the guards were young and new,they had no idea who we were unlike the older ones.

"Don't shoot we have a child!"

Kasai attempted hiding behind Wendy and I,instantly seeing the bows."Who are you?"yelled one of the guards,i glanced at Wendy.Who was pushing Kasai behind her now."We're members of Fairy Tail,your leader-..."i got cut off.

"Stop!Bows down,they're our guests you imbecile!"

I frowned,i didn't remember that voice.I looked at Wendy,"Kai!"yelled Wendy,the gates opened and out walked a tan,shirtless man.I frowned,Wendy ran over and gave him a hug.I looked at Kasai,he held my hand.I shrugged and he mimicked my actions.

I chuckled and we walked over to Wendy and the man named Kai."Romeo this is Kai remember the feast night we danced for the night he was lovely,we spoke a few times but we got along fantastically!"exclaimed Wendy.

"Nice to meet you Kai,i'm Romeo."

"Hello Romeo,"said Kai.He was almost the same height as me,both of us still towering over Wendy.Kasai grumbled about not being able to see anything.I leaned down and chucked him on my shoulders.He held onto me by my hair.

"Whose this Wendy?"

Kai looked up at Kasai as he lead us towards Perseus."Oh his name is Kasai,he's my son,"explained Wendy.I frowned,she always said my son as if i wasn't his father.Or her fiancée.I sighed,but bit my tongue.

Eventually Kai led us into the tent that belonged to Perseus,the leader of the islanders.He smiled and welcomed us in,"i'm glad to see you have grown,"said Perseus.Wendy hugged him and i gave him a nod.

"I see you brought the little one."

"I promised you'd meet him,"said Wendy.Perseus smiled between us.Then we got to business.Kai still stood at the door,keeping guard."So this dark guild that was here has grown and has become more dangerous,"i explained.

"We think they're on the island that worships Wendy's mother,Grandeeney.We believe the five islands here used to worship the dragons that were around when the five dragon slayers were children,however since the practice has been lost over centuries it's hard to say."

Perseus nodded,"we have many scrolls from centuries about a fire dragon but we assumed they were children's stories,"said Perseus.I looked at Wendy,the fire dragon?Wendy turned back to Perseus.

"That would be Igneel,however this is all beside the point.They're on the island of Grandeeney,which is my mother.We think that's why they targeted this island because originally they asked for Natsu.Then we came."

"We need to use your island to ensure that we can attack them while also resting and healing.This battle may last days or even weeks.But we need your help,will you help us?"
